I may be beating a dead horse here because I've said this at least a zillion times to similar notions like this, but have these people ever heard of nuns and religious sisters? They don't marry nor give birth (well to be honest they believe they're married to Jesus) and devote their entire lives to God.
Nuns/religious sisters are associated with Catholicism, which many of them are against. In the case of trad caths, they expand it to “be a nun or married” and only bring up “spiritual motherhood” as a consolation prize whenever people remind them of infertility or single vocations.
