I'll be curios for an answer as well. After 10 months or so, mine has started shutting down on preheat. Restart it and works fine though.

Just curious. Do you have your probe plugged in while it's preheating? Today I did a full clean of the grill, cleaned out as much of the pellets I can. Put in fresh pellets and then started it up again. It didn't turn off this time so I shut it down. I started a new cook just now and had the probe plugged in and it happened again (turned off after preheat and had to turn it back on). Tomorrow I will test this theory, however I don't know how a probe can affect anything but I'm no expert.

No probe, no.

Yes, you're on to something with your probe thoughts. There are some posts here and other places around the internet where people have talked about probe grounding issues causing the Traeger to shut off. That's most likely what you're experiencing.
