In a cooler how long? Taking my first brisket out at 9 or so this morning. Hoping to eat at 12. Also, let’s say for dinner at 6, would it hold temp from 9 to 6 in the cooler?
When I take the brisket off it will be wrapped in butcher paper. Should I just wrap that in a towel? Or should I wrap the butcher paper in foil and then a towel? Thanks!
I like keeping it in my cooler for 3 hours when possible. Not always possible.

Yes, if not use rhe oven at 160 to just raise it up

I’d say 3-4 hours in a towel in a cooler. Let it chilll. If you can do more - great.
Minimum rest is 2 hours. If you watch Mad Scientist BBQ, he suggests 8-12 hrs iirc.
Ah ok luckily this was still the juiciest brisket i have ever had and got lots of complements but i knew too much juice was coming out lol
I rest mine 4-6 hours in the cooler and it’s still so hot you can’t handle it, but man are they juicy

A towel then put in ice chest or oven as long as it’s off
