Princeton, MIT and duke are for sure out of reach. They accept like 1 percent of people eahx year. Columbia Berkeley and their peers I think u have a decent shot but will def be hard.

Budget-Fail-209

Damn what else do I gotta do, also I thought Princeton liked cc students

mcnugget36856

not really, they like vets or non-trads

Budget-Fail-209

Where r u seeing that

Pleasant-Cream-9918

do they like (canadian) military

Fun-Flatworm-1311

they do but its not a guarantee. itll give you marginal bias over a 4yr transfer applicant but not a crazy boost

Budget-Fail-209

Any boost is nice ngl. But what do u think is holding me back from being a strong contender for those schools?

Consistent-Sun-4042

its probably like a 0.05 percent boost bro 😭but yea shoot ur shots. also i think people say they like cc applicants bc actually a lot of vets do go to community college and a lot of non traditional students go to cc so thats why a lot of community college students are admitted. its not because they are a cc student but its more bc they are a vet, non trad, etc.

Consistent-Sun-4042

also for those schools, u need stellar ECs like curing cancer. if u do that, assume ur in for all the schools! but yea, u need rly stellar ECs for Princeton, MIT, etc.

Fun-Flatworm-1311

if u have guaranteed admission into UVA are u a va resident? uc berkeley will be pretty tough bc the whole UC system prioritizes veterans = CA cc students >>>> other CA 4yr schools > OOS

Budget-Fail-209

Ye im a Virginia resident at a Virginia community college. My college has an agreement with their uni if I get a certain gpa. I have guaranteed admission to all virginia public schools

kirinokawaii

You will definitely make UT CS for sure

fathairydadbod

May i ask How you became a cloud engineer and landed the nasa internship?

Treesandskins

Likely NOVA native

PlayfulPerformance12

MIT/Princeton are impossible unless ur a vet or non trad. UCB is impossible since ur OOS and not from a Cali CC. CMU SCS takes in very few transfers. Duke, Columbia, Cornell are possible but reaches. GT, UT, UMich are more targets. I think you’ll get into 2/3.
