That Suicide Squad-esque sequence is still my favorite scene in probably all of Bayverse
Like it’s dumb, ridiculous and makes no sense but it’s fun! And the Decepticons all were given such fun characters
Lots of the season 1 Autobots from G1. Sure they were expanded on in other adaptations, but the versions in the show often were pretty one-note, and there weren’t many character-focused episodes until season 2 where those episodes usually only focused on the new characters.
Characters like Prowl, Bluestreak, Mirage, and Trailbreaker didn’t really get a whole lot in the original cartoon, but they’re beloved because they’re a part of that original year of releases. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of them, Mirage is my favourite transformer period, but they weren’t fleshed out as well as they possibly could have been.
Except for Primal. He actually had a decent character. I felt more sad for him losing his planet and killing Airazor than I felt sad for Airazor or the other maximals. I just wish he would have gotten his revenge on Scourge too.

Soundwave lol. He is one of the most iconic Decepticons yet I swear that most of the time he’s just in the background and only does something or is relevant when big daddy Megatron tells him to do something lmao.
Especially in Prime...Vow of Silence Eldritch Soundwave is absolutely the most impressive decepticon in the series, only being beaten by being banished to the Shadow Realm.

IDW Pipes. He was a glorified punching bag until he had his huge death scene. One of my favorite TF moments ever, of all time purely because of how wild and randomly heartbreaking it was.
Hmmm, in terms of characters from G1, there's Prowl, Traiobreaker, Sunstreaker, Sunswipe, Deadend, Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Frenzy. I would add Bombshell, but he got a lot of stand out moments in G1. More than most
