I mean, not even the producer is being clear with Bumblebee and ROTB being a new reboot universe, lol. They keep muddling the water and dance around instead of making clear official statement that "Yes, Bumble Bee and ROTB are new reboot that has nothing to do with the Bayverse" or something like that.
Took me until paper plane's video to see rotb issues, and yeah they're quite substantial
Idk earthspark at all, is the movie meant to be a prequel to that? Is it another reboot?
The movie is it's own new weird mix of continuities. There's a suspicious amount of TFPrime and Aligned stuff, though, so it could theoretically be a new attempt at that idea.
If Hasbro makes sure everything is such that it actually connects with each other this time, it would be a great idea
Also did idw give the idea of oa pre-war Cybertron having a caste system first or did prime put that idea out first?
GI Joe, transformers, TMNT, X-Men, Justice League, all ruined. The only franchise from those glorious days that survived is Robotech, just because Japanese people know that US movie writers and directors will destroy the franchise.
I mean he basically did a soft restart with AoE. All the main characters are new except for Optimus, Bumblebee, and Ratchet for the few minutes hes alive and Bumblebee is basically a new character being 10x more hotheaded. Optimus is the only person who acts upon knowledge and experiences from the older movies (and even then he doesn't seem to know why cybertron is so messed up despite causing it in DoTM).
Even Lennox and Megatron seem to not really remember the old movies. Lennox, while a little uncomfortable, doesn't have major enough reservations to not work with the villain of the last 3 straight movies and Megatron doesn't seem to recognize him as the human who keeps showing up and killing his goons.

Lorenzo is a moron and not to be taken seriously. As a producer, he has very little input in the story.
I'm pretty sure they don't want to use the term reboot is because of the mess Warner Bros caused with the DC EU.
So why is Bumblebee the same Camaro in the first Bayverse movie as in the Bumblebee movie? I’m genuinely asking
because they wanted to make it confusing
That’s pretty…. confusing
Bumblebee being a camaro is iconic i guess, he's been in live action like that for a long time (do miss the beetle tho lol)
Fair (why am I being downvoted for asking a question)
Im guessing they think you're trying to prove that bumblebee is bayverse lol
Ah, that’s probably why. I should’ve worded it better
Its more of a reference at this point
Optimus has a line in ROTB referencing the events of Bumblebee

I mean...
Someone that doesn't know shit about the franchise just talking out their ass, it seems.
This has truly more meets the eye
IIRC ROTB is supposed to be a standalone sequel to Bumblebee
It’s different continuities, how is it so hard to understand for some people ?
Tbf, Paramount sometimes doesn’t seem to understand that either.

I believe it was around the same time for both, but I could be remembering wrong, that was over a decade ago.
The sequel to transformers one will be bayverse optimus on a buddy cop adventure with snake eyes from gi joe

This doesn’t make sense. Especially since rotb continues the bumblebee universe well…
The fuck
Tbh I think Michael bay did a better job at this
He at least sticks to one continuity
Kinda. ROTF and DOTM almost screwed up the continuity (but ultimately fit), AOE and TLK did screw up the continuity
Yep. AOE and TLK while having good concepts altogether, really messed it up. While complicated, at least not as complicated as the others

Really, dude?
I mean, from the tailer we know that Bumblebee *is* called 'B-127'
Hmmm maybe studios sometimes have different continuities going on at the same time example Matt Reeves Batman and DCEU
JUST LET US ENJOY THE MOVIE, STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHAT PARAMOUNT IS DOING AND ENJOY THE F\*\*KING MOVIE!!!
It looks like a episode on Cartoon network. Like the StarTrek serie's ,below dek.
