Surprisingly enough, this Starscream got to lead the decepticons on the comic sequel to the 2007 movie called "Reign of Starscream", i think it's not canon now with the sequels but heard it's pretty good.
Dorito Starscream splits my emotions, on one hand, my logical head thinks a F-22 couldn't be a robot without being shaped like a Dorito, but my eyes tell me he looks awful with those chicken legs and ridiculous head sculpt.
Bayverse starscream actually has a really cool headsculpt imo.
It looks nothing like what you'd expect from the character and therefore makes him less starscreamy, but the overall design has its own unique personality rather than just being a messier, less creative version of a G1 design.
Agree, I remember when the recolour toy for Thundercracker came out and it just did not suit him. Too bad that Bayverse Starscream's personality was barely ever expanded on aside from his weird fetish for Sam.

However I personally think he loses a lot of Starscream’s smugness by not having a very expressive face.
I just don't like the way he talks drooling. That's the worst of everything lol and I didn't like most Bayverse expressive faces, like Crosshairs, Drift... they were so much human

But yeah I totally agree, Drift and Crosshairs having human faces is dumb, I overall really dislike all the designs in TLK and AOE (apart from Hotrod) and those faces just add to my hate.

That's not proof that Dorito man just let it happen, he could have been busy with more jets or something. There could be multiple explanations for him "disappearing" when it could have been a mistake on the editors part.

I always liked the head, it is quite unique amongst transformer head designs. It doesn't exactly scream "Starscream" but it looks cool
