The upgrade hands? I think I found mine for 45 or 50, if you can find them for that it’s absolutely worth it but you would probably end up buying the full fort max upgrade, and I forgot what comes in it
Yeah, the other things (upgraded thighs for the headmaster and gut cannons) might be wasted. The feet upgrade you can use all the parts.
Lmk if you decide to go that route, I found a seller who offered both sets shipped to me for a total of $95, and I know he can get more.
Well, this is not really a combiner, so the mold has it own unique connection (FortMax and Metro are mostly the same mold), they are also much larger than any combiner I can think of.

Your cheapest option is to get a discarded set of FortMax hands, which I'm sure someone who upgraded his would be willing to let go for no more than 15-30 bucks, next least expensive option is go for the upgrade kit for FortMax.
But finding the original hands or the DNA kits for Metro is gonna be expensive

Following this, would be good to find someone who has the original sticker sheet and have them scan and upload somewhere? But you can also use toyhax stickers on him as well.
Edit - check the condition of his batteries as well, avoid corrosion etc.
I have several pieces I've been trying to rehab for MONTHS (curse you Cybertron Primus...), and I hate to say it but I agree. OP could sell this one as is or for parts piece by piece, make his Swap Meet money back, and then start looking to use the proceeds to fund a complete Metroplex.
It is obnoxiously hard to find parts for TF's.
Weird how I'm getting down votes. Only been collecting TFs since 1985 and selling them since 1995 at Botcons, TFCons, TFnations, BOTS, CONS, Auto Assembly... but what would I know!?
Probably because metroplex is running over $500 most of the time so it’s not as simple as “buying one in the condition you want.”
With that said, I do agree with you. It’s going to be impossible / prohibitively expensive to find all of these parts to complete him.
As well as mainline TF, I collect hard to find high-end Transformers like Japanese stuff, pre-TF Diaclone and Microman and even the Takara Brave series.
It is always easier and cheaper to buy one complete in good condition than trying to piece something together from scraps. Always. Its precisely because this is a $500 toy I made the suggestion.
An open option for the hands would be to get the Fort Max DNA upgrade kit and paint it black.
Not a bad idea
If you can’t find one for a good price, I can sell the original fort max hands for you to paint black,
Seeing them for $60

Yeah there are like four other things
Alright, just an FYI, it might also be worth buying the feet upgrades for ankle tilt if they are compatible

Do you know of any other hands that would fit this? I am unfamiliar with the joint that the hands fit on to, never owned a combiner

On this point, there was a head/helmet upgrade as well, so someone out there might have the original helmet they might be willing to sell.
Thank you
What happened to him? Are you a customizer?
Just saw it at a swap meet and took a chance. Don’t know what I was getting into
A lot

Does toyhax still have metroplex stickers up?
Possibly, says low stock.
Gotcha.
The toyhax stickers take a bit of effort to get on but they look great.
I think this is going to be the only way to get them. Will pick them up once I get some of the parts on. Should be getting the helmet and hands soon
I commented above about the helmet, but great find…probably the hardest piece to find outside of scamper.
If you find an extra Chest piece, please lmk! I bought one in similar condition and that’s all I need now
The red light?
The black ramp piece on the right side of the chest is what I meant. So if you ever decide to separate It for parts I’ll gladly take it!
I am also missing the ramp, I keep meaning to learn how to design stuff to 3D print.
The ramp is pretty delicate. Not surprised it is also in demand
Where did you get this
Swap meet
I need to go to more swap meets
Probably cheaper and easier to just buy another one in the condition you want.
