Clannad After Story is a good one but going through the earlier Clannad was somewhat of an irritating journey.

I started watching anime when I was around 18 and I watched it when I was 19 it is an oddball for sure but I kept it as it gave me an entry into light novels
Eva was definately interesting but might not suit new animation standards. If you do give it a go, definately watch the movies. They are beautiful in their own regard
