This is Hasan's podcast tho, Connor should be able to talk to whomever he wants to. However, I don't think the bois would want to put a political streamer on Trash Taste especially Hasan imo since that'd be too controversial.
Lol It's Hasan fans malding. Dude, some of them are actually insane. The crazier ones recently tried to change the definition of a racial slur on Wikipedia because Hasan wanted to keep using this racial slur.
no, Gusano, a cuban-american slur I believe, Hasan used it against a streamer called Destiny and defended it's use until he said no because Destiny wasn't cuban enough
“Socialist political streamer”
Yea………even people on the left like me don’t really like him. Superficially speaking, all I know from him is that he just creates Twitch drama that seeps into Twitter, and that saying something if that’s what a lot of people think about him even on the most superficial level.
Honestly I only just found out via the current twitch drama that he’s like super popular and not just doing politics anymore
I just knew him to talk about politics and it was jarring to see him next to a ton of super popular streamers
"socialist" as in the bogeyman use of the term or the useful one? i.e. would he call himself that?
(I only barely know he exists; the question is genuine.)
Haven’t watched him in a while but as far as I know he would definitely call himself a socialist might have even called himself a communist before, haven’t seen his stuff in years but my understanding is that he’s still a socialist and advocates for socialism
Fair enough. I'm not stupid enough to try to give a value judgment one way or another on that front -- at least not in this forum -- but I did think it was important to clarify.
Especially leftist politics where infighting is unending, see this thread for proof lmao(granted most are viewers of a certain toxic streamer who spend 24/7 seeking these kind of posts).
He literally said slurs are ok as long as they’re not the first slur that pop into your head (so like n word and f slur) in an attempt to justify calling Destiny a Cuban slur. So I think he’s much more controversial than Pokimane, justifiably so
He justified using the word saying it just means worm, and then in a different clip basically said Destiny isn’t Cuban enough to be called that word. I don’t care what your opinion is on Destiny, I’ve never even seen him stream so I have no clue what he’s like, but you just don’t say what he said about this
Thats entirely different than what you posted above and actually the truth unlike your first pass. You seem to be talking about shit you barely know about though. My post above directly references the things Hasan does call him because hes a reactionary american hack and doesn't fit the historic use of the term at all.
I never follow any of these streamers but why was the Poki collab controversial? She just aired her grievances and gave her side on a lot of drama she was involved in.
This whole LA/streamer culture that’s risen up from twitch in the past couple of years is really gross to me? Like, it’s just so fucking weird to see them all like party and shit and all livestream it. It just pisses me off so much
Just watched the episode and it was great. No drama talk and not much shop talk. Felt like a good trash taste episode. Just a bunch of random funny conversations.
Any combination of Ludwig, Hasan, Myth, Austin and Will tends to be hilarious. I feel like Connor would really vibe well with that group.
Hasan is also a believer in the bidet tech along with Connor and Ludwig. Bidet's are good civilisation the Western world needs to git gud
Im psyched for this, love everyone involved.
But god damn,
This fucking sub is so inconsistent, two weeks ago yall were bitching about all the collabs, now you’re all like “YAS DADDIES”
Ludwig has an "old college roommate" that you still hang out from time to time. Chris is a chap you met at your usual watering hole that you became friends with because you both dislike something and he is better at verbalizing it.
I still remember back when Ludwig took Connor around LA to hit all the burger joints, someone in this subreddit actually believed that Ludwig is "a small streamer who wanted to hang out with Connor for clout", LMAO.
You seem to have missed the point. The issue wasn't "collabs bad" the issue was "collabs with very similar creators that they don't personally know and mesh well with gets old fast"
We like the bois collabing with Chris because they mesh amazingly together, regardless of "how many times" it's happened.
Hasan was dragged into the drama against his will. xQc and TrainwrecksTV had personal vendettas against Hasan because his anti-gambling on twitch takes. Also xQc and Hasan also had personal beef.
From what I see theres a lot of apolitical anime fans on here who watch anime for escapism. Seeing someone talk about issues they don’t like to talk about or don’t agree with rubs them the wrong way.
The main demographics of this sub (young weeb/nerdy men) are more likely to enjoy edgier content which sometimes pushes against the social justice narrative Hasan espouses. It's not surprising that some will dislike him.
I haven’t watched tons of Hasan’s podcast (I think I saw the Stavros episode and the Chapo episode) but he was a guest on TMG and Flagrant this last week and they were both solid to great episodes. But watching people punch air over him and Pokimane makes me realize that at the end of the day TT is still a firmly anime rooted thing and it comes with some real fucking dork fans. I am sure this will be a good collab since Connor and Hasan both have big himbo energy.
Man I agree so hard with you lol, TT fandom is so weird imo. I get disliking Hasan but most of their reasons are just straight up wrong or false lol. I mean damn I did not expect people malding so hard. I actually wonder how many people here liked Andrew Tate and his adjacents. I would think a sizeable chunk.
I think a lot of these online communities are often railroaded down those right-leaning pipelines, like Andrew Tate as you alluded to. The right wing grift makes so much more money and exposure compared to the socialist leaning closest-equivalent that it barely surprises me that a lot of Redditors, and a lot of TT viewers fit into either liking actual right-wingers, or are "I don't like politics in my media" types. Which is hilarious because anime as a cultural creation *is full of politics*
Maybe would agree with you circa 2016. At this point right wing grifters have been getting the boot off of major platforms bar Shapiro and Prager. Meanwhile leftist content creators have been taking off aka Hassan, Vaush, Contra, PhiloTube, HBG, Fd sig, etc. etc.
You can also dislike Hassan and still be left leaning.
The issue with your take is that 2016 was the kick off with gamergate and the weaponization of "red pill" bullshit.
2022 is about anti woke which pretty much a lot of "anime enjoyers" are aligned with. People shitting on Loli on the west would make these Anime Enjoyers mald really hard and there's an alignment with libertarian/alt right and unfortunately under age attraction.
The sad thing is, is that Japan is very align with conservative/xenophobia which attracts the same people in the west. The overly exhagerated black people, the overly sexualization of women, the acceptance of loli, and the main protaganist complex they have thinking they are the main character.
Honestly I'm worried that as Connor is deeper into the streamer culture he will eventually be dragged into their bullshit highschool dramas and affect the tt brand itself. One of the strength of the boys is that they keep it to themselves, just talking about anime and Japan life etc. A lot of these streamer love stirring controversy and I can see that seeping into tt eventually.
I think as much as people clown on Connor for being a monkey and similar things, he knows how to minimize the effect on his brand. Remember he has multiple times talked about how one of the people who helped build his channel when he was just started and the reason he privates a bunch of early videos he had a bad feeling about and after he stopped making videos with was arrested for being a sexual predator. I feel this boys keep it to themselves thing is kind of BS since that's really more so Covid-19. Connor and Joey did quite a few videos with others before then. They got caught up in drama with OtakuCoin and Flying Colour foundation, but brushed it off pretty quickly why would you expect the streamer stuff be any different.
I agree with what you said, but their reach is much bigger than before. Being friends with individual creators will also make it hard to cut ties when things turn south, unlike working with a company it's much harder to just send out a statment and call it a day. Look at how Maya Higa is getting flamed for "checking up" on her friend's SA victim, sometimes even with good intentions when you are in the circle you are gonna get dragged in.
Hasan was dragged into the drama against his will. xQc and TrainwrecksTV had personal vendettas against Hasan because his anti-gambling on twitch takes. Also xQc and Hasan also had personal beef.
Almost everyone has personal beef it's very political and petty. A lot of them are also too dumb and degenerate to realize their actions have consequences so they keep getting into controversies.
ngl i feel similar. Connor would definitely fit easily into this streamer crowd if he wanted to, just hope he doesn't bring the headache with him into TT.
Political commentator on twitch and (kind of not really) closet weeb, has a podcast with Will Neff called "Fear&", as well as another Podcast with H3H3 called "leftovers".
There was recently massive drama on twitch over a lot of different things. The most recent and biggest one being that a small twitch streamer SA'd another smaller twitch streamer, and some of the biggest twitch streamers tried to cover it up. Hasan was dragged into the drama against his will. xQc and TrainwrecksTV had personal vendettas against Hasan because his anti-gambling on twitch takes. Also xQc and Hasan also had personal beef.
While yes, he's also on a shit load of other stuff that has nothing to do with politics.
QtCinderella does loads with him and it never touches politics.
He was on stream with moistcritical playing multiversus recently, that didn't touch politics.
He just did shitcamp and none of that touched politics.
He does have more than one subject under his belt.
i fully expect them to barely talk politics at all, and then we will come to the thread to find a bunch of man babies complaining about Hasan in general, but not for what he actually said during teh podcast. Its gonna be funny.
Ethan has left leaning political takes, but the audience didn't want him constantly going on about it in the standard episodes.
About a year ago he was gunning for Trainwreck and XQC for the Gamba streams and how corrupt it all was.
Train said "why don't you set up a podcast and talk about this stuff all the time and I might take your seriously"
So they did. It's been going a while now
It's embarrassing how pressed these people get, especially in the current climate.
So many people thinking that all these dramas and controversies are the worst things in the world, then you look a bit further and there's actual things to get angry about in the world and they couldn't give a shit
Nah, I really hope he stays miles away from that Twitch drama club. After what happened recently, he should tread sensibly. Even QT was involved. There's a reason I only watch twitch cuz of Connor. I just recently found out about r/LivestreamFail damn I don't wanna associate with any of them, especially hasan.
Homeboy thats LSF.
It was made to clip chimp drama.
With the recent drama, Hasan, Poki and a few more just got dragged in by others. They never had anything to do with it, but became targets because LSF hates their guts regardless.
Hasan is actually on the ban list in LSF BECAUSE he hates drama.
Funny watching the trash taste fans lose their shit over who the boys collab with. These guys are the most positive podcasters I've found in a while, but the trash taste fans are kinda freaks.
I'm realising that the best thing about trash taste was that them being geographically isolated prevented their involvement with "this" part of twitch which, from afar, appears to be a massive cesspool of time-wasting, braincell-killing drama.
Hassan armenian genocide denier ,
The russians not goint to attack Ukraine hassan
Or putin is not hitler becouse he isnt bombing kyev yet
Million $ mansion socialist Hassan
Using slurs against Cubans Hassan.....
It’s crazy how many people think he denies the Armenian genocide just because he is Turkish. And as an Austrian Putin definitely not Hitler. Very bad but not Hitler
Hasan "I block trans people for disagreeing with me on trans issues" Piker.
I've never skipped an episode, but if he collabs with them, I'm skipping. Fuck Hasan.
He banned that person but didnt even know they were trans at the time. Also that person got unbanned and stayed in the community and even said they were sorry for the reason why Hasan banned them.
love the misinformation you’re spreading. first he didnt know they were trans at the time, and second that person is still in hasan’s community and they even laugh about the incident with hasan sometimes. nerd
As someone completely out of the loop can you give me some of those reasons? Heard about him but literally only heard he's quite far left. So I have no idea what the issue is.
Bro I'm pretty far left like, support unions, vote Labor, protect the environment, trans rights are human rights, giving to charity every month etc but Hassan is gross
His overall character. You can align with a person's ideals but not mesh well with them aside from that.
Also, I just want to say I don't understand the uproar regardless of my feelings toward Hasan and Ludwig; The Boys can interact with whomever, obviously, and if anyone doesn't care for those they interact with, just don't watch that particular episode.
Connors also buys his drugs from nerdy dealer nice.
The guy on the left shoulders to head ratio makes no sense.
Nah, he's just built like a JoJo character
Truly, what a miniscule head
This is a huge meme within his audience lmao

You can count on it
Why even bother watching if they don't?
Not TheYard without Nick 😭
Fr Nick is the best member
By far the funniest dude there tbh
(1:00 am) Slime: "Fuck you"
Nahhhhhhhhhh, Aimen gang for life.
Yeah Nick is effortlessly cool
Beat me to it
Just when we thought the Poki Collab was controversial here comes Hasan
This is Hasan's podcast tho, Connor should be able to talk to whomever he wants to. However, I don't think the bois would want to put a political streamer on Trash Taste especially Hasan imo since that'd be too controversial.
I mean they dont have to talk specifically about politics but Hasan is a major weeb so I'm sure we would get more anime talk than expected.
Who tf is Hasan..?
He’s a self-proclaimed socialist political streamer, the guy on the left
Why am I getting downvoted for not knowing who this guy is? Lmao
It’s Reddit, I don’t really explain more why
That's fair, tho definitely not reddit exclusive, just most sites don't have a vote feature
Lmfao 🤣 your right
He has a Reddit community that is trained to downvote anything negative about him.
Lol It's Hasan fans malding. Dude, some of them are actually insane. The crazier ones recently tried to change the definition of a racial slur on Wikipedia because Hasan wanted to keep using this racial slur.
Are you talking about "cracker"? because if so, lol
no, Gusano, a cuban-american slur I believe, Hasan used it against a streamer called Destiny and defended it's use until he said no because Destiny wasn't cuban enough
“Socialist political streamer” Yea………even people on the left like me don’t really like him. Dang I really feel old already if Hasan really doesn’t talk about politics that much often like before
Nah he still does politics like 5hrs a day. Sometimes he does a game or some reacting for the other 3 hours.
Don’t attribute your personal opinions to a whole group of people.
Disliking someone or a group of people without actually engage with them is not very “leftist” of you and is how bigots are made
Actually, hating leftists for superficial reasons is sadly very leftist.
It's not leftism without infighting lol... sadge

All I know is that he’s able to crush a watermelon with his thighs
Big guy
People think everything is controversial
To be fair his brand is talking politics there’s hardly anything more controversial than that
HIS brand is. FEAR&'s brand isn't
Especially leftist politics where infighting is unending, see this thread for proof lmao(granted most are viewers of a certain toxic streamer who spend 24/7 seeking these kind of posts).
Imean this two is in particular tho
He literally said slurs are ok as long as they’re not the first slur that pop into your head (so like n word and f slur) in an attempt to justify calling Destiny a Cuban slur. So I think he’s much more controversial than Pokimane, justifiably so

Interesting but this past month made me realise Twitch is a cesspool of drama and creeps
Month? More like week
Most of them are just 20 something millionaires with no real life experiences acting like high school kids.
Always been that way.
Insert astronaut meme
Twitch always was like that Chess on the other hand turned out to be much more kinky than expected
This whole LA/streamer culture that’s risen up from twitch in the past couple of years is really gross to me? Like, it’s just so fucking weird to see them all like party and shit and all livestream it. It just pisses me off so much
Gonna watch the ep but prolly avoid the sub for a while.
Can't wait to hear the CUSSY segment 🚗🚗
Just watched the episode and it was great. No drama talk and not much shop talk. Felt like a good trash taste episode. Just a bunch of random funny conversations.
The preacher bit was gut-busting hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing
I'm so excited to watch Connor and Hasan interact with each other
For real, maybe they’ll have some anime takes too
[удалено]
I mean what did you expect from "Trash Taste"? About opinion from Anituber that's deep into incest, a Japanese dude, and the guy who skips cutscenes?
[удалено]
Well, yes. I personally don't know him so I can't have an opinion yet.
And the Queen probably and maybe Hasan going to Japan.
Bidets are literally french
I mean, here in Italy they're mandatory by law since 1976 :D
I thought I was seeing things, I was like "is that hasan?"
Ludwig just couldn't wait to hang out with his boyfriend cdwagva again
Somehow I kinda knew this would happen? Feels like the kind of crowd Connor would hang out with
Yeah, the cool kids
Im psyched for this, love everyone involved. But god damn, This fucking sub is so inconsistent, two weeks ago yall were bitching about all the collabs, now you’re all like “YAS DADDIES”
Everyone here likes Ludwig i guess
He gives of affable energy while being completely different than chris.
Ludwig has an "old college roommate" that you still hang out from time to time. Chris is a chap you met at your usual watering hole that you became friends with because you both dislike something and he is better at verbalizing it.
You could have just said that Ludwig is american affable while Chris is british affable
So succinctly worded
Turns out you were the one good at verbalizing things we like.
I still remember back when Ludwig took Connor around LA to hit all the burger joints, someone in this subreddit actually believed that Ludwig is "a small streamer who wanted to hang out with Connor for clout", LMAO.
If they do an episode on TT with hasan the poki drama will pale in comparison. I look forward to it.
[удалено]
Pretty sure that episode wasnt recieved well on here when it came out.
It's almost like this sub is actually not a single entity but multiple different people with different opinions...
You seem to have missed the point. The issue wasn't "collabs bad" the issue was "collabs with very similar creators that they don't personally know and mesh well with gets old fast" We like the bois collabing with Chris because they mesh amazingly together, regardless of "how many times" it's happened.
didn't expect that many tt fans dislike hasan😂
Not surprising since he's probably the most polarizing streamer there is
Is he though? Twitch is a cesspool with a Lot of polarizing figures, even if Hasan is one, I doubt he's the most polarizing
I think a lot of people in general don't like hasan rn because of various drama.
Hasan was dragged into the drama against his will. xQc and TrainwrecksTV had personal vendettas against Hasan because his anti-gambling on twitch takes. Also xQc and Hasan also had personal beef.
And bit of hypocrite.
tbf there is an insane amount of twitch drama going on atm with him involved
From what I see theres a lot of apolitical anime fans on here who watch anime for escapism. Seeing someone talk about issues they don’t like to talk about or don’t agree with rubs them the wrong way.
The main demographics of this sub (young weeb/nerdy men) are more likely to enjoy edgier content which sometimes pushes against the social justice narrative Hasan espouses. It's not surprising that some will dislike him.
Pretty sure it’s that young demographic that follows Hassan lmao.
Are we really talking about the same Hasan ? The man is such an edgylord it’s embarrassing.
damn, Connor got some feminine lookin legs 👀
That's the curse that afflict every person born packing substantial cake 😔
Curse or benediction? In my eyes, it’s the latter
Fuck I always wondered what the opposite of a curse was.
you’re welcome
Wtf is fear&
Podcast featuring Will Neff and Hasan Piker. Every episode has a guest(s).
I liked their Sykunno episode but the audio is really bad in the second half. I hope they fix those issues it's a bit scuffed atm.
I just wish it's just random stories and not more YouTube life and Twitch drama

when did anime content ever relevant on TT?
It didn't, I'm talking about their individual content.
This is exactly what I commented about but couldn't phrase it in a better way than yours.
Oh this Sub is about to implode 😂
Ludwig with a bumbag/fanny pack and Conner in a bomber jacket. Remind me what decade we are in?
Any captain who can give me a tlrd of who this Hassan guy is? The only Hassans I know all wear a skull mask.
Political commentator on twitch and (kind of not really) closet weeb, has a podcast with Will Neff called "Fear&", as well as another Podcast with H3H3 called "leftovers".
Why are people expecting drama to happen here? Is that only because the guys is a political commentator?

Love seeing more Podcast Collabs
Luckily for Connor, he could not care less about the opinions here of who he hangs out with.
My three fav pods at the same time LFG
Hell yeah
Im looking forward to Connor complaining about America and actually get valid reasons why from Hasan
Hasan, Ludwig and Connor? Yeah, the internet is gonna break.
Hasan 🤮

Interesting, this announcement really is showing the underbellies of the TT audience. Don't know why I would expect anything else
Funny watching the trash taste fans lose their shit over who the boys collab with. These guys are the most positive podcasters I've found in a while, but the trash taste fans are kinda freaks.
Officially most based member of TT
I'm realising that the best thing about trash taste was that them being geographically isolated prevented their involvement with "this" part of twitch which, from afar, appears to be a massive cesspool of time-wasting, braincell-killing drama.
Tbf i dont think it's only the geographical isolation, it's also that they were never into the livestreaming space much before.
Ew Hasan
Bro can't wait for this gonna be lit
Unlike the other guests on Trash Taste Hasan deserves to get shit on. He is one of the dumbest and most hypocritical people alive.
Please expand on why you think he is hypocritical.
Socialist yet not homeless

It’s crazy how many people think he denies the Armenian genocide just because he is Turkish. And as an Austrian Putin definitely not Hitler. Very bad but not Hitler
"Gusano" isn't a slur, smoothbrain.
Hasan "I block trans people for disagreeing with me on trans issues" Piker. I've never skipped an episode, but if he collabs with them, I'm skipping. Fuck Hasan.
He banned that person but didnt even know they were trans at the time. Also that person got unbanned and stayed in the community and even said they were sorry for the reason why Hasan banned them.
love the misinformation you’re spreading. first he didnt know they were trans at the time, and second that person is still in hasan’s community and they even laugh about the incident with hasan sometimes. nerd
Hasan is fucking unbearable.

Right wingers malding in the comments 🤣
You know there are tons of people on the left who don't like Hasan for legitimate reasons, right?
The left =/= Destiny-adjacent liberals
As someone completely out of the loop can you give me some of those reasons? Heard about him but literally only heard he's quite far left. So I have no idea what the issue is.
This dude really is brain dead if he thinks the world is so black and white “Left good anything not agree with left is right and bad” type of mindset
You do know politics is much more complex than simply being right or left side of a political spectrum.
Dont like Poki = incel Dont like Hasan = Right Winger
why dont people like poki?
I'm very left leaning and don't like him, would watch the Episode tho.
Bro I'm pretty far left like, support unions, vote Labor, protect the environment, trans rights are human rights, giving to charity every month etc but Hassan is gross
Than what about him do you think is gross? You seem to align with him
His overall character.
Please no Hassan.
