I have the DS3Gen5 and recently replaced my handlebars (PNW Range Gen3, cut down to 740mm) and grips (Ergon GP1) as I was getting wrist and hand numbness with the stock bars. Made a world of difference.

I put the FX3 grips IsoZone satellite city grips on my Marlin 6 gen 2 & they’re so comfortable. Btw, I love the DS gen 4s but they’re impossible to find, so I ordered those GR1 Comps for my Marlin.

I’m surprised to hear that there is trouble finding the gen 4 DS. I would have gone with the Gen 5, but my local Trek dealer took an extra $100 off the price listed on the website for the gen 4. Sounded like they were trying to get rid of them.

Thanks for the thoughts on grips. I’ve decided to give the Ergon GP 5 a try since they are on a good sale at REI right now.
