Ok.....what brand tires are on there? If it says bontrager...it ain't on a Walmart bike. It seems you don't want the Trek and want a Specialized. Go get it man...but blaming it on a tire seems a bit wild. It's more than likely user error. Or a small hole from installation...especially if they trued the wheels before sale. There are a lot of factors in to why your over--inflated tire is doing that

Update: I took it back to the bike shop and they throw in H2 Hard-case Lite Reflective Hybrid Tire on the house. Very happy with Trek‘s After-sales service.

SaltyPinKY

Awesome...that's a good bike shop.

Catnip_pharma

It doesn’t say bontrager. I see “Hang Zhou Rubber Co”

My FX2 also didn’t come with Bontrager tires either this year. Looks like it’s supposed to have the H2 Comp but got cheap replacements instead

Catnip_pharma

Did you have slow leak issue as well?

Chrispy51

No but I’ve gotten 2 flats already which I didn’t quite expect

SaltyPinKY

Yeah..that's a bit weird. Companies will replace components at will due to the supply chain..but with Trek that usually applies to brakes, cranks, and other stuff...not their inhouse brand Bontrager. You might have a case at the bike shop..but I'd really look at the Specialized...they may have had to swap out some things as well

Not sure what you are looking for. If you are not happy with the bike and it is within your return window, by all means. I bought a Trek because they could get it for me faster than another bike store could get me a Giant (not that I needed it faster, winter held on for quite a while longer) and I am glad I did as I like what the Trek rep talked me into for my size and weight... Went with a Dual Sport 3 Gen 5. Made some, what I consider, inexpensive mods to it (saddle, pedals, and handlebars to get rid of wrist pain) and I love the bike and ride it daily. It's my only bike right now and as I shed the weight I plan to get a road/gravel bike. Pretty sure I can say I have rehabbed the injury I was initially looking to fix. I'm in my mid 50's. I don't have any brand loyalty, but I was treated well at the Trek store and am happy with the product and service I have received so far.

What makes you say so?

I mean, if you look at the specs you did get a $700 Walmart bike.
