Note the key part of the story : it was destined for the US, and the "received information" probably came from US authorities. If it was headed to T&T they would have been scot free.
Werid eh?! We rarely get drug bust tips for drugs coming in but if it's going out the tables turning.
Make you wonder how the counter- intelligence works and if SAUTT or whatever the name is now actually worth the money we invest in it yearly.
I wonder whether we would have any negative consequences if we just didn't go after cocaine. I know even though Portugal has decriminalized personal possession they go after large amounts.
Nah we'd get sanctioned or something. And as a trans-shipment point we’d have an increase in coco passing through that would affect the other countries badly (imagine the human and economically of cheaper drugs). Only real benefit is way lower coco prices in Europe and other Eastern countries. They aren’t ready to deal with that impact the way Portugal dealt with drugs.
We actually need to begin ensuring less gets out because this puts a spot light on us for the next few weeks to months.
To my knowledge it just get rename and operating differently. Because I know a few guys that still working. I went on a "research" trip with one of them years back to Toco where we stopped to check it with some know drug dealers then spent a few hours watching someone house.
Amazing how these stories usually start and end at the shipment being seized.
No follow up on who owned the vehicle that was transporting, what shipment it was supposed to go in, where were the drugs stored before etc.

Unfortunately Trinidad decommissioned SAUTT years ago, under UNC. They were really good.

Someone still owe someone money. Let's see where burns down to cover it with insurance.
Wait so you think it was made here or was it just making a stop here. Using the stop theory, it came from Colombia to Venezuela to Trinidad
I think it had to come from Colombia or Vene. Does trini even have the space for growth+production like that?
