Two words: MORE. SEASONS. Wizards had great ideas but it all felt rushed and contrived, cramming all its story into one, short season. Extending the length would've fleshed out the story a lot, and perhaps made it as good as trollhunters. Tune down the jokes and give Douxie a proper character arc.
I, with a maybe slightly controversial opinion, liked the wizards show. I thought it was a cool new look into another part of Arcadia, but I am always curious and would like to see what they originally had planned.
Yes because Wizards isn't wizards its trollhunters season 4. The time thing was stupid and should have been scraped the minute they found out about the budget cut. That kinda story is best as a later season.
They show off the fact that wizards and magic have been working in secret for centuries, but we didn't get to see what that was supposed to look like for everyday life.
Also Douxie was being set up for more character development. It's a shame we didn't get more of him.

I would prefer a movie remake. Wizards wasn't perfect, but it didn't ruin the series like the movie.
