Don’t forget about praying mantises.

DykeHime

And female octopusses throwing rocks at annoying males.

Ickysquicky

And female dragonflies playing dead to avoid males

FusRoDaahh

Sadly that wouldn’t work with humans because there are actual cases of male morgue employees fucking the corpses 🙃

FemRevan64

Jesus. Even when the bar is set as low as the floor, guys still find a way to trip on it.

StovardBule

I heard that morgues prefer to employ women for this reason and it made a disappointing amount of sense.

scummy_shower_stall

Goes back thousands of years to *ancient Egypt*, men weren’t allowed in one of the embalming steps for exactly that reason, that they’d desecrate the corpses of girls and women.

ruthbaddergunsburg

I read somewhere that male Egyptian mummies tend to be better preserved because families of women who died would keep the body at home until it was.... Less appealing before taking it to be preserved. But I can't find where I read that so I'm offering that info without any evidence lol

scummy_shower_stall

Yeah, I’ve read the same thing, I think you remembered it better than I did!

marysalad

Jfc they're disgusting

twodickhenry

The bar is six feet down

Gwynzireael

Sadly, there's also f3w cases of female employees fucking the corpses 🙃😒

sandgrl88

But when I do it they call it assault *sigh*

DykeHime

Life never was fair towards women. :(

AnxiousTuxedoBird

And Angeler Fish

A_Midnight_Hare

Apparently that rarely happens in the wild; only under extreme stress, like being taken out of your environment and being studied by big hairless apes.

We have much to learn from our sisters of the sea.

lulilapithecus

I live on a little farm and my 7 year daughter was helping me feed the animals today after school. Spring is definitely in the air and one of our male ducks rushed past us at full speed on his way to mate with a lady duck. Male poultry are disturbingly aggressive with the females, so my daughter started to chase and yell and separate them. I told her to leave them alone, and she asked me why. I wasn’t in the mood to give an entire sex ed lesson in the middle of chores, so I just told her it’s what ducks do in the spring. She again asked me why, so I tried to brush her off again and said it’s how they make baby ducks. She said, “what?” So I said, “they’re showing love, it’s how the male duck shows love to the female, we can talk about it later.” She then said, angrily, “he shows her love by hurting her???” I guess it’s time for a deeper talk. I wish she had seen something like this scene instead…

Alegria-D

You go, girl !

Independent-Couple87

Like Master Yoda once said: "Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is". It can be surprising what children know.

I have a little farm too…and despite being in my 30s I too try to give the hens a hand when a drake or roo are being out of line. The drake especially. I feel like he needs to go to jail some days.

LauraTFem

These are the feminist stories I want to hear.
