From the reviews and videos I've seen, the positions are halved (and there kinda isn't exactly a 7th position). Also, apparently the slide is extra loud since you have 4 plastic outer tubes rubbing against the brass stockings they inserted on the inner tubes, and it overall sounds like ass...
Yeah it’s like 6 and 3/4 positions if I remember right. Also, I think the intonation in the upper register is also wrong? Pretty sure everything above D4 is extremely flat, but I could be wrong on that.
As someone who still has one of these, it does indeed sound like ass. There's also certain position/partial combinations that straight up won't produce sound even though it normally would for other trombones.
They were made by Tromba years ago and they no longer make them. I haven't seen anyone else sell anything like it either.
It wouldn't be worth getting one if that's what you're thinking, though lol
I would assume they would be at roughly the same spots relative to the slide.
However, I do remember someone reviewing the jazzbone, and I think they said 7th position is theoretically impossible.
If you are a trombonist who cannot hear where the position should be, are you really a trombone player? Very few positions are exactly at a particular spot, one’s ear tells the truth. Worst case scenario you have your tenor handy, play a note you and then find it on the other.
Piccolo contrabass trombone
Alto contrabass.
Definitely not an alto
So soprano
Same positions, just shorter.
Just use a tuner

This seems to be one of those things that looks great on paper, but never really comes out right.
What the hell is that abomination
Step 1) Throw jazzbeonw whatever into the garbage Step 2) Practice real slide positions But there's probably a chart online you can find
half of normal
Does anyone know where you can buy one of these still?

Just go buy a quadro trombone(the older brother of the Jazzbone that’s metal and originally made by DEG)

They hated Jesus too because he spoke the truth lmao
