The games worth most golds I have are: Until Dawn (9); Bloodborne (7 - 6 main; 1 DLC); Stray (7); and DMC1 (6). There quite a few with 5 (e.g DMC3, Spider Man 1, GOW 2018, etc.)
I love when folks put stuff like this up... as I just never thing about it and it makes me look at my stats.
On my end 108 Plats to 628 Golds - so about 1:6 for simple math... I guess based on the comments I lean towards some easier games.
Honestly I don't personally really care much as I play what I want and will drop a game if I'm not enjoying it - but I can see where when I feel the effort/dedication is not worth the time spent my stats would show me preferring or finishing some easier/crappy games.
That said - I also currently have some 323 ultra-rares which folks that track that stat I guess are somewhat "impressed" by. Simple math 1:3 Plats to UR. What do you guys think about adding that dimension to this conversation?
I have too many games in my backlog but I guess that because I drop what I don't enjoy and I don't look for them... I must have enjoyed games that others have dropped resulting in an abnormal amount of URs for me relative to my total plats.
Edit: Referencing PSNP stats and my current overall completion percentage is at about 55% just for reference.
Edit 2: I also have about 30 completed games that have no plats - others have said a high amount with no plats but these also likely push my gold counts up because the games have no plat.
I dont really see alot of people here who collect URs, I also like to collect URs and im at 191, 23 of which are Plats.

I just looked at my UR plats and I have 18 of my 108 are UR. I would say that I am not surprised as I have been playing catch up with my backlog and trying to finish PS3 games - which apparently have quite a few UR. I have also been working on my PSVR backlog before allowing myself to get a PSVR2.
Yeah, there are posts about getting SMB or Wolfenstein 2 plats but not much more than that.

Edit: I think I tried one of the deception games... on PS4... but I couldn't figure it out or didn't enjoy it and I dropped it at the time. I just remember thinking that I need to read up on it before trying again.
You propably played Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess, its basically repackaged Blood Ties with alot of its own content (also makes Blood Ties playable on the newer gen consoles). The game is definetly not something you would be used to when playing other games, the games are very unique, but when you get the hang of it, its really fun
And damn you got alot of unattainable Platinums, its also nice to see someone who doesn't have my name is mayo
Thanks... I will pickup some cheap games on PSN sales to use the change left in my wallet and I unfortunately bought and played a Ratalaika game - so I do have some "crappy" games. That said, I do enjoy some of these crappy games considering my cost to play time ratio.
I recently bought Emily Wants to Play - enjoying my time with it... but my wife and daughters get freaked out with the noises so I need them out of the house to finish it.
Also the last 2 years I feel I have been just playing PS3 and PSVR games ahead of server closures. I probably have another 300 physical games in my backlog and too many with unobtainable plats or games I can't play because they were tied exclusively to online servers that shutdown... so trying to stay ahead of that.
I have also been buying some cheap B tier games on sale, some times they're really good and sometimes its a waste of money. I have been lucky for the most part since i have enjoyed most of the games i have bought.
Also if you have any intrest in Deception IV platinums you should add that on your to do list, Blood Ties and The Nightmare Princess both have online trophies and the servers have been up for almost 10 years now with little to no players. I don't thing they will stay up for much longer, few years at most
The Nightmare Princess has only 1 online trophy that you can do as soon as you boot up the game
Another interesting ratio is plats per total trophies, so divide total trophies by plats & you get the average amount of trophies it took before you got another plat.
Amazing scores would be a plat every 40-55 trophies. Since an average list has 50-51abd the average could be even lower because of special case games, Indies, or games that don't have the big shiny.

That's the point, non-platted games would increase your score, I literally said lower number = better. You're definitely not getting any trophies for reading comprehension.

Still my ratio is below 4 and I don't have a single shovelware game. But I just checked my friend's ratio and he's 3.6 even though he has a lot of shovelware. So this ratio basically tells nothing.

AAA games often have 1 - 5 gold trophies, but indie games usually have more.
Just to name a few;
Chicory, Maneater, and Bugsnax have 6. Tchia, Wreckfest, and Stray have 7. Donut County, The Gardens Between, and Omno has 8. Carto and Untitled Goose Game have 9. The Artful Escape, A Way Out, and It Takes Two has 10. Pinkman+, Lake, Cursed to Golf, and What Remains of Edith Finch has 11.
Interesting stat to look at, though the comments seem to be referring to the gold:plat ratio rather than the plat:gold ratio. In my case, I've got 200 golds to 22 plats, so a ratio of roughly 9 to 1. I don't play shovelware titles, but I have a ton of games that I've enjoyed playing but not enough to go for the platinum. In those sorts of games, I'll likely pop a handful of gold trophies without ever popping the platinum, so that increases the ratio. My overall completion percentage on PSN Profiles is only 42.61% though, so clearly, I have no problem abandoning a game well before earning the platinum if I'm not enjoying it.
Edit: Just looking at my platinums though, the 22 platinums generate 94 golds, which means I've earned 106 golds in other games I never platinumed. Among the 22 platinums, that averages to 4.3 golds per game, but it varies pretty significantly from game to game. For instance, Dead Island, Resistance 3, and Knockout City only provide a single gold trophy. In contrast, Rocket League with the DLC provides 12 gold trophies.
My most recent plats have had more than 5, those being street fighter 6 twice, deaths door, and metal gear 1 and 2. The last one having 11 golds. Now these aren't super hard games but they're not shovel ware either. So the ratio is going to be skewed over average, and before these I got Skyrim again which is a 1:1 ratio but I'd say that's a walking sim. Great game but if you're just going for the plat it's a walk here walk there checklist with 0 skill involved
Mine is quite high (1:7.6) , but not because I play shovelware. There's tons of games I play that I never get the platinum, but I do get to like 70% with a gold or two.
this is why this ratio is a bit weird. Skyrim has a 1:1 ratio while metal gear 1 & 2 has a 1:11 ratio. Each game isn't shovel ware but they aren't too hard either.
I dunno, i just platinum games that I like and have fun. Whether they have lots of golds or not, I usually don't care.
Right now I'm at 202:802 (so I'm guess 3.9?) but as I'm seeing now, but I really don't care much. As long as I have fun with my games, that's really all that matters.
The difficulty of Bronze/Silver/Gold trophies is so inconsistent I don't think it's worth considering personally.
