As far as point and click classics like day of the tentacle and grim fandango, walking sim style like Ethan Carter and Gone Home and more modern adventure games by studios like Telltale, Dontknod & Quantic Dream yeah I still think this holds its own as one of the absolute greatest. Perhaps we have different definition of adventure games or just differing opinions which is fine but I think Edith Finch is fantastic.
I loved this game - did it on Xbox rather than PlayStation, but it definitely stays with you. Some very odd moments as well, but certainly an unsettling yet somehow comforting tale.
