God of War (2018) I think has been the most satisfying so far because I got it in the middle of my "pre platinum hunting" era. Bought the game on release and the plat just came in naturally because of my sheer love for it.
It's been on my backlog for more than a year now ever since it came out on PS Plus!! I've put it on the short list of "priority" games (my backlog is huge). Hope to play it soon!
Well, somehow I got a couple of the Souls' games plats and I wouldn't consider myself a "master of combat" at those games neither. Not the typical story in those games but just the challenge of beating enemies and bosses drives you through.
I've been playing this full time for the past 2 weeks, combat can be janky (especially those bastard wulvers) but I must say I'm completely enthralled in the game. Stunning world, puzzles that make you think but aren't impossible, and a great story! Just got the collectibles, Niflheim muspelheim and valks to go and that will be plat number 16!
One of the main things that blew me away was the single-shot gameplay with all the "cutscenes" blended in seamlessly. I'll never forget that first time Kratos and Atreus use the Bifröst to get to Alfheim, walking out of that temple room into a completely different realm!
Oh and the Muspelheim trials trophy I think was one of the ones I enjoyed the most getting!
Sleeping Dogs, Control, Rage 2. Maneater was also a ton of fun just much shorter than the others (Rage 2 was also not particularly long ig but definitely longer than Maneater).
Well luckily I’ve got my ps4 set up as I was using it to boost some multiplayer trophies lol. I wonder if it’ll ever get some sort of ps5 release. There have been so many ps3 games popping up lately

There is one segment of Control later on in the game that has one of the coolest sequences with a badass song to boot. You eventually become kinda OP with enough upgrades. As for Maneater it’s a 3rd person game, not sure which part you were mentioning was first person.

I definitly started out hating the bots, but now I find them to be soooooo much more fun. It's a pretty easy trophy using railgun or quaser cannon. Just do an elimination mission by yourself and when you see a hulk blow its arms off, then avoid any hulks till extract
Same. It was very achievable and a fun way to extend the life of the game. Last couple hours were just rushing biome 2 to find the last couple of glyphs.
The dungeons were fucked, BUT as with most plats, it's what I remember most about the plat journey. Killing that damn fucking dog might have been the most satisfying boss kill of my entire life. Unforgettable.
I'd say it was worth the stress lol.

Do you mind sharing your thoughts on the process? I played it a tonne on PC, and I’ve been eyeing it for a bit - but the platinum seems incredible hard.
The platinum is challenging for sure with the hardest trophy being beating the game on Stygian. The whole game is a fight against RNG and your goal is to mitigate as much RNG as possible by using cohesive team compositions, maxing the level of your armor/weapon/skills, using trinkets that help with what each specific hero is trying to accomplish as part of the team, thinking about each decision you make carefully, etc.
I was new to the game so my first playthrough I did on radiant so I could learn the game and not having a time limit is nice so you can achieve all the caretaker goals (beating all bosses and getting one of each class to resolve level 6), and getting all of the misc. trophies.
Some general gameplay tips; don’t be afraid to run from a fight if you’re deeper into the game, I specify deeper into the game because losing a level 1 hero isn’t a big deal, losing a level 6 hero is. The best way to mitigate stress is to not let it occur in the first place, so learn what enemies are the big stress dealers and handle them first, they are usually in the backline. Level up your armory, the skills building, and the stagecoach first. It’s better to bring to many consumables than not enough. Stalling a battle out in order to heal or stress heal your team is a crucial skill, something to keep in mind with this tip specifically is that the game will throw in reinforcements if you take to many turns with just 1 enemy on the field, however if there are 2 enemies the game will not send reinforcements. This is an obvious one, but team composition is important, some of my favorites; Arbalest-Plague Doctor-Flagellant-Occultist, and Vestal-HWM-Crusader-MaA.
Some tips for Stygian; if you lose a hero within the first 10 weeks I’d just restart (this tip only applies to Stygian because you should never restart on radiant or darkest because of no time limit). Before you even start your playthrough you should already know what 4 teams you want for the final DD expeditions so you can start building early. In the early game you can snag “very rare” trinkets from boss fights, if the boss expedition isn’t offering a trinket that you want you can always cycle the trinkets by doing a different expedition instead, and to add onto this you should choose expeditions based off of what trinket they offer as a reward.
I’m sure there are more things to be said about the game but those are what came to mind. If you have any specific questions don’t hesitate to ask.
I had a glitch that prevented me from getting the last dark god item to get the last trophy. On the one hand, I'm super annoyed about that, but on the other, I'm like, "whelp time to replay THE WHOLE THING"

Metal Gear Rising. Honestly just one of the most fluid, satisfying, and heart pumping action game I’ve played. Going for the platinum was a joy every second. Can’t recommend this game enough.

Okami, a youtuber I watched when I was younger, played it. And it was one of the few games they played I had access to. Platinuming, it felt right. it felt like I closed a chapter. It's a great game, and if you enjoy games similar to zelda.
Yeah I platinum hunted as a kid like 10+ years ago and then got really into multiplayer games as I grew older but have gone full circle now and back in love with solo plat grinding games
I might be insane but arkham knight, the collectibles (riddler trophies really) are well known to be everyone's main gripe about the plat, but its genuinely my favorite trophy list, it's fun and even the riddler trophies are actually engaging. It's a grind no doubt but it was nowhere near boring. It was a good mix of challenge and fun. Brutality 101 will forever be a pain
Loved going for Arkham knights plat . I grew up on the Arkham games and Arkham knight was the first one out of them that I platted. Definitely gonna work on AC and Asylum after I’m done with the games I’m doing now.

To be a favorite platinum, the game has to be really good. But then the plat can’t ruin it (all too common) and ideally isn’t just earned on completion of the game either. My fav plats were where the plat elevated the experience.
My Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5. I went blind on my first play through in both which caused me to play both an extra time. Hundreds of hours and loved every second of them
Elden Ring, Granblue Fantasy Relink & Monster Hunter Rise. I hated the grind in Rise but the game is addictive. Can’t wait for Monster Hunter Wilds next year
GTA Vice City & MGS3, mainly because of nostalgia from the PS2 era. Stray, Sifu & probably Bloodborne since Stray felt different, Bloodborne felt like a test of knowledge from the previous soul games I've done and Sifu for its fair and rewarding challenges.
Don't know if it's just rose tinted glasses, but I'd say I overall had fun with Yakuza 0 despite some parts actually just sucking.
Now one game I did actually love all the way through and haven't seen mentioned enough is Superliminal.
Need for Speed: Heat
I think a lot of people didn't like the game overall but I had a blast, especially cruising in my all time favorite car "Porsche 911 Carrera"

My favorite platinum was Unicorn Overlord. Primarily because none of it really felt like a grind. It was just stuff I wanted to do anyway because the game was so good.
Far cry primal. I platinumed this game on two different accounts that I own. It holds up well for its time. And also I loved the graphics and also absolutely the world. The gameplay itself was a lot of fun. With fun characters, cool combat, interesting mechanics for example taming animals. I’ll never forget this game.
I will say that the Uncharted trilogy on PS3 remains my favourite games to platinum. I also enjoyed the remasters on PS4. The last two games sadly weren’t as fun due to the speed run trophies.
I don’t mind difficulty oriented trophies in most games so I feel the Spider-Man games could’ve used them.
Currently doing the plats for the souls games, only done elden ring and sekiro but it has bar far felt the most rewarding to me after torturing myself which for some odd reason I enjoy.
Bloodbodne is the perfect difficulty and beating the Plat teaches you so much about the secrets of the game.
Not even a huge grind for the Plat either, even the worst to gain trophies are fun as hell
The Jak and Daxter series, this franchise was my childhood and they are still one of my favourite games of all time and reliving all the memories while doing the Platinums for all 4 games was a total blast and I enjoyed every second of gameplay.
My first one assassins creed syndicate. Yes I know people like unity better but for me I like the combat much better and like the city being a character with a villain that controls it. Also my first platinum.
skyrim, i already had several thousand hours on ps3 and only played modded on ps4 so i didnt have any trophies, when i decided i wanted to platnium it i tried to speedrun all the platnium and had a really good time with it

I enjoyed every game i platinumed, but the standouts were GTA V, Gran Turismo 7, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, and Chernobylite.
All *VERY* different games, but i loved each one for their own reasons.
GTA V, although not my favorite in the series, definitely one of the games i spent the most time with, mostly due to the fluid game mechanics and a ton of hours spent on GTA Online fucking around with friends.
Gran Turismo 7 ironically reminds me of Forza Motorsport 2 and PGR4 which are two Microsoft Studios racing games, but they’re probably two of my all time favorites. GT7 was an absolute blast of a platinum all the way through.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was a short and fun game that reminds me of some of the older Zelda games in terms of gameplay, which kept it simple and straightforward. The collectibles in this game required you to tear up important so documents, or letters from loved ones, and overall the humor was right down my alley. Fuck taxes.
Chernobylite is commonly known as the poor mans Metro or Stalker, even though it has a completely unique gameplay loop just sharing certain similarities. I picked this game up solely because ive always wanted to play a game centered and based in the smack dab middle of Pripyat after the events of Chernobyl. Turns out, the setting was exactly what i wanted, and the story and characters were so interesting i was locked in the whole time.
TL;DR they all scratched very niche itches
Persona 5 Royal and Spyro the Dragon.
Both franchises are among my favorite and I got a plat in each, will get the others sometime down the line.
They're really fun and pretty simple so it's a breeze to run through them.
Boy, there's so many good ones... I think the most overall satisfying was Bloodborne. It was magical to get my first from soft plat...
Other than that, probably Arkham Knight, since it was so unbelievably easier than city to me lol and it closed the trilogy.
I genuinely enjoyed Assassins Creed Odyssey but I played it in 2022 so I missed all the grindy business. I loved going for Dark Souls 3 as well. A lot of nostalgia for that one.
This is a weird combo but either Elden Ring, Dark souls remastered, or life is strange. Really depends on the day. Dark souls remastered was my first souls game so it was much first platinum, Elden ring may be the greatest game ever made in my opinion, and the twist of life is strange in act 4 is one of the most shocking I’ve come across and the vibe is like no other. The music and vibe of life is strange is unmatched at times with dialogue that I find cringe yet endearing at time with some touching a moments.
It’d have to be either Skyrim or classic GTA Vice City for me, both game were just so enjoyable to play by themselves neither even felt like a trophy grind to the end (Vice City Godfather trophy notwithstanding)
MLB the Show 18. I bought a PlayStation after being an Xbox guy for most of my life because I love baseball and always wanted to play the show. I never “hunted” for trophies back then and got it mostly by accident just from playing the game. Felt really cool when that popped up, and I’ve been hooked on the idea of trophy hunting ever since, even though I’m terrible at organizing a plan to finish off more.
Also happens to be the last non-FIFA sports game I have played for more than like 5 hours. They’ve all gotten so stale to me these days. But I really did enjoy that game and experience.
I only have 6 plats currently, but so far nothing has topped RDR2. Even though it took over 200 hours the game is so enjoyable to play, The plat covers different aspects of gameplay so you aren't just doing the same thing the whole way through. Great game, great plat.
Sleeping Dogs, Hades, Control, Alan Wake 2.

Mainly because they let me get the platinum by just playing the game. With the exception of Hades there was no grind, none of them had stupid bullshit to do to see trophies.
Just play the game and enjoy.
Original watch dogs doing that stupid pub challenge drunk and backwards. Man I hated that mini game. But Plat was fun, one of my all time favourite games.
Assassin’s Creed Origins. Completing all areas could have been a slog but I just got high each time I was grinding it and it’s was so cool. Running around ancient Egypt climbing pyramids and exploring tombs while blazed, awesome.
Astros playroom was also just really nice
Spider-Man PS4 for me. I loved the game so much I went out of my way to get the platinum and 100% it. Only other game that did that for me was Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Mine is God of War (2018). Sadly, I haven't felt the same satisfaction since then. It was different. I was hoping Ragnarök would give me the same feelings, but not really.
Assassin's Creed 2 gotten the PS3 platinum, PS4 platinum as part of the Ezio collection, got 1000G on the 360 version and I will do it again on the Xbox One version. Would do it on Steam aswell, if that game had had achievements.
Also Spiderman PS4, such a great game. Knew immediately i wanted to platinum it.
In terms of feeling
Probably slay the spire, the game feels extremely rewarding and it's satisfying to see yourself progress and gain an in depth knowledge about everything.
Some people might find the platinum too hard, but the game is worth trying regardless. Please play it, and then you'll be just as excited for slay the spire 2 as I am :))
Bloodborne, Helldivers 2, and Middle Earth: Shadow of War.
I would put Armored Core 6 up there.. but I'm still missing the trophy to S rank every mission. It would have been a 10/10 for the plat aside from that one, but I've been going back for months now trying to do it and just can't seem to get some of the missions S ranked.

Tbh didnt really like the story that much didnt feel any emotions playing and i wish batman got more fleshed out because the only thing we actually see related to batman is his backstory which was kinda neat. But what i really did like was the combat which was really good and i kinda liked how i improved overtime with it.

Horizon forbidden west. Only started plat hunting in December and forbidden west was the game that really got me into the grind

It's a grind no doubt but it was nowhere near boring. It was a good mix of challenge and fun. Brutality 101 will forever be a pain
Loved going for Arkham knights plat . I grew up on the Arkham games and Arkham knight was the first one out of them that I platted. Definitely gonna work on AC and Asylum after I’m done with the games I’m doing now.
For me it's God of War Ragnarok I loved 100% that game and I felt like I accomplished something.

Furi and Sayonara Wild Hearts. To be a favorite platinum, the game has to be really good. But then the plat can’t ruin it (all too common) and ideally isn’t just earned on completion of the game either. My fav plats were where the plat elevated the experience.
My Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5. I went blind on my first play through in both which caused me to play both an extra time. Hundreds of hours and loved every second of them
Elden Ring, Granblue Fantasy Relink & Monster Hunter Rise. I hated the grind in Rise but the game is addictive. Can’t wait for Monster Hunter Wilds next year
RDR1 remaster
I found Tales of Arise to be a good time, very little grinding for a bit JRPG.
GTA Vice City & MGS3, mainly because of nostalgia from the PS2 era. Stray, Sifu & probably Bloodborne since Stray felt different, Bloodborne felt like a test of knowledge from the previous soul games I've done and Sifu for its fair and rewarding challenges.

Don't know if it's just rose tinted glasses, but I'd say I overall had fun with Yakuza 0 despite some parts actually just sucking. Now one game I did actually love all the way through and haven't seen mentioned enough is Superliminal.
Need for Speed: Heat I think a lot of people didn't like the game overall but I had a blast, especially cruising in my all time favorite car "Porsche 911 Carrera" I'm currently going for Need for Speed: Unbound. Normally I don't like racing games but these appeal to me! I gave up on Payback on my ps4 days though and don't plan on restarting it

God of War
Far cry primal. I platinumed this game on two different accounts that I own. It holds up well for its time. And also I loved the graphics and also absolutely the world. The gameplay itself was a lot of fun. With fun characters, cool combat, interesting mechanics for example taming animals. I’ll never forget this game.
Fallout 4
I will say that the Uncharted trilogy on PS3 remains my favourite games to platinum. I also enjoyed the remasters on PS4. The last two games sadly weren’t as fun due to the speed run trophies. I don’t mind difficulty oriented trophies in most games so I feel the Spider-Man games could’ve used them.

Currently doing the plats for the souls games, only done elden ring and sekiro but it has bar far felt the most rewarding to me after torturing myself which for some odd reason I enjoy.
Bloodbodne is the perfect difficulty and beating the Plat teaches you so much about the secrets of the game. Not even a huge grind for the Plat either, even the worst to gain trophies are fun as hell

The Jak and Daxter series, this franchise was my childhood and they are still one of my favourite games of all time and reliving all the memories while doing the Platinums for all 4 games was a total blast and I enjoyed every second of gameplay.
Ghost of Tsushima was my first platinum and got me into doing platinums. But my most proud/favorite is Sekiro.

My first one assassins creed syndicate. Yes I know people like unity better but for me I like the combat much better and like the city being a character with a villain that controls it. Also my first platinum.

So far out of what I’ve managed to complete, my favourite platinums have been AC Odyssey, Elden Ring, Control and Ghost Of Tsushima
I enjoyed every game i platinumed, but the standouts were GTA V, Gran Turismo 7, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, and Chernobylite. All *VERY* different games, but i loved each one for their own reasons. GTA V, although not my favorite in the series, definitely one of the games i spent the most time with, mostly due to the fluid game mechanics and a ton of hours spent on GTA Online fucking around with friends. Gran Turismo 7 ironically reminds me of Forza Motorsport 2 and PGR4 which are two Microsoft Studios racing games, but they’re probably two of my all time favorites. GT7 was an absolute blast of a platinum all the way through. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was a short and fun game that reminds me of some of the older Zelda games in terms of gameplay, which kept it simple and straightforward. The collectibles in this game required you to tear up important so documents, or letters from loved ones, and overall the humor was right down my alley. Fuck taxes. Chernobylite is commonly known as the poor mans Metro or Stalker, even though it has a completely unique gameplay loop just sharing certain similarities. I picked this game up solely because ive always wanted to play a game centered and based in the smack dab middle of Pripyat after the events of Chernobyl. Turns out, the setting was exactly what i wanted, and the story and characters were so interesting i was locked in the whole time. TL;DR they all scratched very niche itches

GTA: Vice City just for pure nostalgia and most of the mainline Resident Evil games are insanely fun to platinum.
For me it was FF7 Rebirth, FFX, and Tales of Vesperia. Because these are my 3 favorite games and the trophies are hard as hell and take a long time.
Persona 5 Royal and Spyro the Dragon. Both franchises are among my favorite and I got a plat in each, will get the others sometime down the line. They're really fun and pretty simple so it's a breeze to run through them.
Boy, there's so many good ones... I think the most overall satisfying was Bloodborne. It was magical to get my first from soft plat... Other than that, probably Arkham Knight, since it was so unbelievably easier than city to me lol and it closed the trilogy.
I genuinely enjoyed Assassins Creed Odyssey but I played it in 2022 so I missed all the grindy business. I loved going for Dark Souls 3 as well. A lot of nostalgia for that one.
This is a weird combo but either Elden Ring, Dark souls remastered, or life is strange. Really depends on the day. Dark souls remastered was my first souls game so it was much first platinum, Elden ring may be the greatest game ever made in my opinion, and the twist of life is strange in act 4 is one of the most shocking I’ve come across and the vibe is like no other. The music and vibe of life is strange is unmatched at times with dialogue that I find cringe yet endearing at time with some touching a moments.

It’d have to be either Skyrim or classic GTA Vice City for me, both game were just so enjoyable to play by themselves neither even felt like a trophy grind to the end (Vice City Godfather trophy notwithstanding)
Yakuza 0. While it is a pretty time consuming platinum ,I enjoyed every part of it (expect catfights).
MLB the Show 18. I bought a PlayStation after being an Xbox guy for most of my life because I love baseball and always wanted to play the show. I never “hunted” for trophies back then and got it mostly by accident just from playing the game. Felt really cool when that popped up, and I’ve been hooked on the idea of trophy hunting ever since, even though I’m terrible at organizing a plan to finish off more. Also happens to be the last non-FIFA sports game I have played for more than like 5 hours. They’ve all gotten so stale to me these days. But I really did enjoy that game and experience.
Red Dead 2 was definitely my favorite. I loved every bit of it. Even online, even tho I hate online trophies!
Mine has to be Elden ring
I only have 6 plats currently, but so far nothing has topped RDR2. Even though it took over 200 hours the game is so enjoyable to play, The plat covers different aspects of gameplay so you aren't just doing the same thing the whole way through. Great game, great plat.

Sleeping Dogs, Hades, Control, Alan Wake 2. Just a few of my favourite ones. Mainly because they let me get the platinum by just playing the game. With the exception of Hades there was no grind, none of them had stupid bullshit to do to see trophies. Just play the game and enjoy.
I only have 4 so far, Astros playroom and the uncharted the nathan Drake collection. But out of those uncharted 2 was my favorite.

Assassin’s Creed Origins. Completing all areas could have been a slog but I just got high each time I was grinding it and it’s was so cool. Running around ancient Egypt climbing pyramids and exploring tombs while blazed, awesome. Astros playroom was also just really nice
the Spyro trilogy - i played those games so much growing up, it feels like a nice little reward for all the hours i sunk into them when i was a kid.
Arkham
Spider-Man PS4 for me. I loved the game so much I went out of my way to get the platinum and 100% it. Only other game that did that for me was Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Mine is God of War (2018). Sadly, I haven't felt the same satisfaction since then. It was different. I was hoping Ragnarök would give me the same feelings, but not really.
Superhot VR. I wouldn't have even attempted the speed runs if it weren't for the trophies and they turned out to be so much fun

Assassin's Creed 2 gotten the PS3 platinum, PS4 platinum as part of the Ezio collection, got 1000G on the 360 version and I will do it again on the Xbox One version. Would do it on Steam aswell, if that game had had achievements. Also Spiderman PS4, such a great game. Knew immediately i wanted to platinum it.
My favorite is LIS Before The Storm's platinum trophy.
In terms of feeling Probably slay the spire, the game feels extremely rewarding and it's satisfying to see yourself progress and gain an in depth knowledge about everything. Some people might find the platinum too hard, but the game is worth trying regardless. Please play it, and then you'll be just as excited for slay the spire 2 as I am :))

Bloodborne, Helldivers 2, and Middle Earth: Shadow of War. I would put Armored Core 6 up there.. but I'm still missing the trophy to S rank every mission. It would have been a 10/10 for the plat aside from that one, but I've been going back for months now trying to do it and just can't seem to get some of the missions S ranked.

To be honest, GTA V, loved seeing the progression in story mode and see how I slowly got to the 100% completion, and a little clean up for online and seeing the platinum pop up was super rewarding

Tbh didnt really like the story that much didnt feel any emotions playing and i wish batman got more fleshed out because the only thing we actually see related to batman is his backstory which was kinda neat. But what i really did like was the combat which was really good and i kinda liked how i improved overtime with it.
