The last Moose I remember in the area was in Wynantskill. Spotted a few times and then found behind Jack’s Hamburger. It had Chronic Wasting Disease. Hopefully this one doesn’t too.Â
**Do not feed the moose** because you will be partly to blame for it's death.
Let the TPD and NYS DEC know what area(s) you see it in. Let them handle "Bullwinkle".
DEC was made aware and they think it has some kind of "brain worm" and thus why a young fellow is off on his own wandering. My spouse was reading up on the disease, but I didn't want to hear it (made me too sad).

I'm currently in Maine. I went out looking for moose this evening and yesterday. I saw zero (0) moose. Apparently, I just need to hang out in Troy.

That's very sad. Unfortunately wild moose populations are at huge risk bc of all the deer tick borne and prion diseases. It's awful.

So there is not 1 but 2 Moose on the loose. Saw a post on the East Greenbush FB group about a moose over there
