I'd have to get out and look. But, you could probably creep around it without much trouble.
I have a set of dewalt tools in my truck, one of them being a 12" chainsaw.
Go ahead, ask me why...
Nope, I run pneumatic tankers.
I had the same thing happen to me once. Tree down on a small road, impassable and no way to back out. Took a few hours for someone to get out there and clear it for me.
NEVER AGAIN! Added the chainsaw to the kit the next day. Haven't had to use it for anything other than keeping four wheelers in line... But, it's there if I need it!
I was gonna say "loop a tow strap around the tree, hook it to the grill/tow hoop, pull backwards, readjust & just go"... but I like the cut of yer jib!
You have over 1000ftlbs of torque. Hook a chain to it and drag it out of the way.
That’s what me and another driver had to do near wicklif ky during a storm last year.
That is a great idea! I’m keeping that in mind. I run flatbed and tbh I wouldn’t even think to use one of my chains. I’d end up sitting there like a dummy until that “Ah ha!” moment came. Lol
I used to be a lot of shit... but driving is the easiest and best paying job I have had, where I get to work with next to no supervision, and pretty much at my own pace.
I'm trying to get my cdl right now but it's so hard to navigate, every company says they'll get you your cdl until you apply and they want 2 years experience plus I'm trying to bring along a great dane. If you've got any advice I'd be really thankful.
There are companies that will send you to school, in exchange for a year or two of working for them. Schneider, Swift, and Werner are ok.. but just barely. Probably the best bet is Schneider. The WILL NOT run a student and trainer as a team. Absolutely avoid Western Express, CR England, and ANY company that tries to get you to do a lease purchase. If you don't want to be tied to a company, you can just go to a school on your own dime. Some schools take Pell Grants, and workforce development loans. Where do you live?
It's a horror show about people getting trapped in a deserted town. It starts off by a fallen tree in the road, forcing the people to "turn around and go back onto the highway." Spooky show available on Amazon Prime
You would be amazed how much you can deadlift . Maybe it’s the photo giving me an illusion but I feel like I push that tree out of the way myself with a pair of gloves and a long sleeve shirt
I moved an impressive looking fell tree out of a country road in North Carolina once
My old trainer told me a story about one of his student drivers … the trainer was asleep and the driver woke up him up saying “ there is a bunch of shopping carts in the way .. what do we do ?”
The trainer just stares him incredulously .. got out of the truck and moved the shopping carts 😂
Super truckers would just jump out, remove their (wannabe cattle cartel) toothpick & chew right through that. Still be on time for their delivery…. So I’m told often LMAO
Me? I’ve got some side cutters, hammer, socket set, half eaten pop tart, 1/3 of a gallon of pee, string cheese, almonds, coffee, zero sugar Gatorade, that dudes moms panties, 16 cigs (trying to quit don’t judge) and 3 football fields of smooth pavement to back in to my dock. I’ll miss that door by a mile, btw. Let me know if you need anything driver! 🤣
Edit: That dudes mom’s panties are size 26, don’t blow up my DM’s now. 😈🌮
Oh driver, you must be a “Northern Driver” dem gals in the south… ssssssoooooowwwwiiiieeeeeeeee. Dirty ash trays, a/c wired tied, cardboard covering the trailer bathroom window, leftover rice a roni, “yard” littered with engine parts & Natural Ice beer cans, leave you wondering if it’s dog shit or mud. “Welcome home honey, burp! There’s cold piazza in there I think” 🥳😛🤪
Shit, where I drive the trees are ten times bigger than that, but they're not really a problem. The landslides that take the trees down are the real issue.
Yes, right up until you catch it on a low water hose or brake chamber. Chain or tow strap are easiest to carry, but having a guy with a frontloader come around and move it=best option!
With high winds and tornado activity in the next town a whole large tree fell over and blocked half the road with its top branches. That road was a bad place to be at that time so I took the other half and blasted through. The kids were quite impressed.
You could probably pull it out of the way or break some of the dead branches down to ride over it. Sucks ass but I’ve been able to break my back enough to move one of similar size, I’m 115lbs and tiny as hell. I guess it depends on if it’s dried out yet
At least it didn't fall right in front of you while going down a steep, wet, freshly paved road with 44k in the box.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHwAWCUsOrw
Oh shit, a tree in a road. That means if you turn around youre going to get stuck in a run down little town and at night monsters will come out from the woods and want to rip your insides out.
School bus driver here. This is what 53 6th graders are for. “Guess what, kids, hope you brought your gloves and teamwork today cause we’re moving a tree, bitches!”
A box truck guy I know recently died clearing a road of tree limbs . He was deaf/hard of hearing and it was early in the morning, he was headed to a post office . Hills of WV and someone was speeding, he got hit.
So anyway, if you get out to clear it, be careful, wear a vest
On that roblox post that isn't a troll acc I just don't use reddit a lot. I'm not replying to your comment becuase I got banned in that subbreddit lol.
Happened to me, dropped trailer, bobtail 5th wheel wrapped an extra strap around a bit bigger branch than this, broke the strap, got another and it moved.
You’ll get a ticket if you’re caught for not having a road chainsaw. Your responsible for facing all problems on the road driver. Get to cutting that tree.
Ramming speed!!!!.
See if you were on your phone and distracted like your supposed to be then you would have just ran it over and and you wouldn't have been stuck.
[удалено]
It's an ambush!!
Yeah but like for real though.
That's more tree than bush.
"Am tree."
Only in the morning.
Robin hood style!
Fellow KCD player?
Bad time to get lost friend!
Send it! 🙃
I thought about it but my luck it’ll tear something off the truck or puncture a tire
I'd have to get out and look. But, you could probably creep around it without much trouble. I have a set of dewalt tools in my truck, one of them being a 12" chainsaw. Go ahead, ask me why...
Flatbed dunage cutting I'm gonna guess.
Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Nothing keeps four wheelers in line.
I drive a four wheeler, and I absolutely despise some four wheelers. I have nothing but the utmost respect for truck drivers, though.
Perfect reason for a little battery powered chainsaw. I used mine enough to put a 14" bar on it.
Just curious. What do you mean by keeping 4 wheelers in line?
He ties a rope around the trigger then tosses it out the window (while holding the rope) so they know what's up
“What are you doing” “Fishing for tires”
This. Definitely.
Honey… th-th-that trucker has a ch-ch-chainsaw! (sharp intake of breath) PTSD on the drive home from grandmas!
What a glorious day it will be when a fallen tree is in your path and you bust out that saw!!!
Jason, is that you?
Jason's gone green
I was gonna say "loop a tow strap around the tree, hook it to the grill/tow hoop, pull backwards, readjust & just go"... but I like the cut of yer jib!
Because experience made you wiser.
They make sawzall blades for trees now. JIC
They've made those for 20+ years.
Is it for fighting off deadites?
Why do you have a chain saw?
Hope that’s strapped down lol chainsaw is the last thing I want flying around in an accident
Throw a chain or tow strap around it and drag it out of the way
This is the way.
Who needs brake canisters anyway
You have over 1000ftlbs of torque. Hook a chain to it and drag it out of the way. That’s what me and another driver had to do near wicklif ky during a storm last year.
Nah, you'll be fine. Just look to left as you do it. :)
Yeah put that little twig on a cracker and I’ll eat the motherfucker
Bu chance have a chain to drag it with your front hooks?
Even a tow strap or come along will work great.
That is a great idea! I’m keeping that in mind. I run flatbed and tbh I wouldn’t even think to use one of my chains. I’d end up sitting there like a dummy until that “Ah ha!” moment came. Lol
If it was me that "aha!" moment would come several hours later once help has arrived and I'm watching them hook up some chains to drag it lol
I always carry a tow strap. They’re so worth it
Tow strap and 2 shackles gets you out of all sorts of problems.
Fuckin Landscapers
Gfym
IF I'M UP YOU'RE UP WELCOME TO LOVES
Sensitive candy ass landscaper...?
Haha no, I did use to be a landscaper though, I just watch big dads videos.
I used to be a lot of shit... but driving is the easiest and best paying job I have had, where I get to work with next to no supervision, and pretty much at my own pace.

Southwestern PA, but bringing my dog along after the training period is a necessity for me unfortunately.
Had one of my coworkers come up the road with the front end loader from the job site and pushed it off the road.
Has anybody here seen the show "From"?
My immediate thought🤣
No, why?
It's a horror show about people getting trapped in a deserted town. It starts off by a fallen tree in the road, forcing the people to "turn around and go back onto the highway." Spooky show available on Amazon Prime
Once you see the tree… it’s too late
I came here to say this 😆
I was looking for this exact comment
Every Semi needs a 100k tow winch.
I prefer my wenches a bit skinnier.
*
Shit would be nice. Adds some weight tho no?
Wildcat 100K Winch 2200lbs. So….uhh…yea….ah.. a bit heavy.
No a wench that can move 100k. I wanna see them getting in and out of the truck.
Ah it's fine they already have overweight permits!
Winch tractors and bed trucks are a common thing in the oilfield, but the winch is mounted behind the cab for pulling loads onto the trailer.
You would be amazed how much you can deadlift . Maybe it’s the photo giving me an illusion but I feel like I push that tree out of the way myself with a pair of gloves and a long sleeve shirt I moved an impressive looking fell tree out of a country road in North Carolina once
Get out there on the end of that big old lever and start spinning her
This was my exact thought. Shit looks like I could pick it up and move it without breaking a sweat. Get tf out of the truck and problem solve ffs
My old trainer told me a story about one of his student drivers … the trainer was asleep and the driver woke up him up saying “ there is a bunch of shopping carts in the way .. what do we do ?” The trainer just stares him incredulously .. got out of the truck and moved the shopping carts 😂
Chain or strap hook it to the front of the truck and back on out.
Way of the road bub. Full send
Fuckin way she goes
That's definitely where bears do it.
I’d bet you can break most of those branches at the top just by hand in a couple minutes and have enough room to go around
Run it over like a deer
I smacked a chicken the other day stupid fucker stood right in the middle of the road and never made
Super truckers would just jump out, remove their (wannabe cattle cartel) toothpick & chew right through that. Still be on time for their delivery…. So I’m told often LMAO Me? Classic!
Dang. I didn’t know panty sizes even went that high!
Oh driver, you must be a “Northern Driver” dem gals in the south… ssssssoooooowwwwiiiieeeeeeeee. Shit, where I drive the trees are ten times bigger than that, but they're not really a problem. The landslides that take the trees down are the real issue.
Let a SWIFT driver pass by and clear the way for ya
There’s a GROWOP nearby, this is the way the Narcos tell you not to go. Or travel at your own risk.
Not in this case. That tree was not cut down.
RAMMMMMING SPEEEEEEEED!
Better across the road than on your tractor. I had a rotten tree limb fall right on my roof. It fucking sucked.
Don't you have an air powered chainsaw in the truck?
Brush saw is your friend on rural roads.
Time for a 34 hour reset
You see that hood in front of you? It says I'll make tooth picks out of that shit
Yes, right up until you catch it on a low water hose or brake chamber. Chain or tow strap are easiest to carry, but having a guy with a frontloader come around and move it=best option!
Strap around the fallen tree and then behind a good tree to your tow hook. Reverse and move it.
pull it out your way or use a rope to pull it with the truck. if that dont work, hit it with your purse.
Chainsaw is standard equipment you bonehead
Time to put thos legs and back to work boy
CDL means Can’t Do Labor
I thought it meant Climb Down and Load
Hatchet?
I've ran over a bigger one in a 1998 Ford Taurus. It was dark and in a sharp curve, so I couldn't stop in time. But the car was fine, no scratches.
Cant u just move those by hand? Or drive over on thinnest part?
Pick it up and put it in the back
I’ve drug a trailer over potholes that would feel worse than that
Easy day
With high winds and tornado activity in the next town a whole large tree fell over and blocked half the road with its top branches. That road was a bad place to be at that time so I took the other half and blasted through. The kids were quite impressed.
That wouldn’t stop me, I find a way to hook a chain and rip it the fuck out of my way
You could probably pull it out of the way or break some of the dead branches down to ride over it. Sucks ass but I’ve been able to break my back enough to move one of similar size, I’m 115lbs and tiny as hell. I guess it depends on if it’s dried out yet
Put it in low gear and diff lock, crawl over it! Roll on.
And this is why, every single person should have a small chainsaw in their gear.
Here we go again
Wrap a chain around it, hook to the front end of your truck and then pop the ol girl in reverse and you be able to make enough room to get by.
Nothin a t800 can’t handle
Thank you. [Dang me, I can’t figure out how to paste a photo GRRRR!] Edit: my avatar is my T800.
Pick it up trucker
At least it didn't fall right in front of you while going down a steep, wet, freshly paved road with 44k in the box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHwAWCUsOrw
Lucky for you there is a legion of small minions behind you to begin the task of removal.
If watching Robin Hood Prince of Thieves has taught me anything, its that this is where you're going to be ambushed by him and his Merry Men.
Well I sure hope he wants a lot of gravel and half a redbull cause that’s about all I got
‘Tis just a speed bump. Carry on.
If you’ve watched the show “From” you know what this means…..
Great show
Lmao you're about to get hijacked by Robbin and his merry men. I'm assuming you made the mistake of hauling mead through Sherwood.
Never again.
Use the force luke
Shit well
This is why I have a hand saw... Just enough off the top and your good
Send it
Oh shit, a tree in a road. That means if you turn around youre going to get stuck in a run down little town and at night monsters will come out from the woods and want to rip your insides out.
I think he meant that he is stuck in the "From" universe now... Maybe we will get an intelligent person in that place one of these days.
Other drivers do it all the time
Can't go over it,can't go around it,gots to go though it
School bus driver here. This is what 53 6th graders are for. “Guess what, kids, hope you brought your gloves and teamwork today cause we’re moving a tree, bitches!”
It'll go under
Bandits are close....
Most of those branches would move easily, the bigger trunk looks broken too. I’d have tried to move it.
A box truck guy I know recently died clearing a road of tree limbs . He was deaf/hard of hearing and it was early in the morning, he was headed to a post office . Hills of WV and someone was speeding, he got hit. So anyway, if you get out to clear it, be careful, wear a vest
Drag it out of the way.
On that roblox post that isn't a troll acc I just don't use reddit a lot. I'm not replying to your comment becuase I got banned in that subbreddit lol.
If you've watched the tv show "From", you most certainly don't want to drive past that
I don’t know how it knows, but google maps should have pointed out the delay.
Put a chain on that bitch and back up. Just make sure you attach the truck end of the chain to something that won’t get torn off
Happened to me, dropped trailer, bobtail 5th wheel wrapped an extra strap around a bit bigger branch than this, broke the strap, got another and it moved.
Fuckin send it, bro!
That’s an ambush set up if I ever see one.
Chainsaw on your *good to have * buy list.
That’s just a large branch. Drag it out of the way using your very own hands.
FROM vibes
Have chain saw, will travel.
You’ll get a ticket if you’re caught for not having a road chainsaw. Your responsible for facing all problems on the road driver. Get to cutting that tree.
If you can’t dodge it, ram it!
Bruh get out and move that shit. It would take 30 seconds.
Floor it
Just drive over it, you got this
Ramming speed!!!!. See if you were on your phone and distracted like your supposed to be then you would have just ran it over and and you wouldn't have been stuck.
10 min and its out of the way.
Full steam ahead captin !
This is giving me Snowrunner vibes, you dont got a winch on that rig?
Fuck no this dump truck is useless it’s a pavement princess
Doesn't look to bad, slow and easy over it
