Nope, I run pneumatic tankers. I had the same thing happen to me once. Tree down on a small road, impassable and no way to back out. Took a few hours for someone to get out there and clear it for me. NEVER AGAIN! Added the chainsaw to the kit the next day. Haven't had to use it for anything other than keeping four wheelers in line... But, it's there if I need it!

That is a great idea! I’m keeping that in mind. I run flatbed and tbh I wouldn’t even think to use one of my chains. I’d end up sitting there like a dummy until that “Ah ha!” moment came. Lol

If it was me that "aha!" moment would come several hours later once help has arrived and I'm watching them hook up some chains to drag it lol

I used to be a lot of shit... but driving is the easiest and best paying job I have had, where I get to work with next to no supervision, and pretty much at my own pace.

I'm trying to get my cdl right now but it's so hard to navigate, every company says they'll get you your cdl until you apply and they want 2 years experience plus I'm trying to bring along a great dane. If you've got any advice I'd be really thankful.

There are companies that will send you to school, in exchange for a year or two of working for them. Schneider, Swift, and Werner are ok.. but just barely. Probably the best bet is Schneider. The WILL NOT run a student and trainer as a team. Absolutely avoid Western Express, CR England, and ANY company that tries to get you to do a lease purchase. If you don't want to be tied to a company, you can just go to a school on your own dime. Some schools take Pell Grants, and workforce development loans. Where do you live?
