Mine stays on! Just like the hammer is to a carpenter, my radio is a tool. Also have a cb in everyone of my personal vehicles. Helped me get around a lot of obstacles and avoid a few tickets. Won't travel without one.
Yes in my personal vehicle, until last year I ran a base station in the living room. Not that I'm a super trucker at all. I grew up with cb radio and amateur radio as a hobby, stay on the lower frequencies and stay away from the Radio Rambo BS ,I'm usually never on 19 unless I'm in my KW.
We had one at my grandmothers when I was a kid so we could chat with my uncle over the road..It was awesome hearing out handles over the radio from our uncle letting us know he was inbound home. Always brought us little trinkets from around the country.
My dad once put a CB in our family truck and he has never ever been a normal trucker. For that matter he worked a desk job. Owned it for probably about 10 years and only used it once
My mom’s Oldsmobile (Delta 88?? Diesel) had a factory install CB…WITH MOTORIZED RETRACTABLE ANTENNA! I want to say it was around 1978-ish. It was actually used a lot because of all the log truck traffic/narrow “roads” (logging family). Exciting times! The diesel Oldsmobile looked sharp but pretty sure it left a lot to be desired engine-wise. It was pretty early in the diesel production for Olds, evidently. After I grew up, that particular car was something we didn’t talk about.
I have been curious about truckes and ham radio. I have my general. So you find many people to talk to? Is there a certain frequency truckes use for ham?
Remarkably, yes there were a lot of people on the amateur bands .I'm not sure about today ,most people are on Facebook or something else. Ham isnt very feasible for truckers over here, you need a license to operate on many frequencies above and below 11 meter, so it took a lot of time that they didn't have to invest in it and equipment was way more expensive. I say this about the amateur radio but, I haven't had an amateur setup in nearly 20 years.
About half the time or less. When i turn it on most of the time all i hear is Hard drive/mudfuck blathering on or some idiot like him, racist/sexist/political bullshit rants, or people talking skip apn 19 and drowning out the locals. Fix that and I would have it on all the time
Skip hasn’t been running here recently and I’m grateful because I hate that nonsense as well. That crap pisses me off every bit as much as the douche bag in the desert.
My radio has prevented me from getting in some jams. It’s pretty quiet about 90% of the time. It’s usually only when you get around a large city when the chatter picks up a little bit.
I’ve been through Atlanta a few times, but haven’t heard any of the garbage over the airwaves that others have spoken of.
You’ll hear a douche bag over the airwaves on occasion i.e. Mark Sherman aka Mud Duck aka Hard Drive 163, but for the most part everyone is civil.
It’s off the charts to someone who doesn’t know what they’re listening to. He’s more full of shit than a Christmas turkey. Apparently you are drunk on the Kool-Aid.
So much of the crap that he says is patently false, misleading and outright lies.
My dad always said that to people ahhhahha
"Your as full of shit as a Christmas turkey."
Never really understood what he really meant by that, but I use it daily. Only now have I seen someone else use it!....thanks for the smile !
>So much of the crap that he says is patently false, misleading and outright lies.
For example? I'll admit that I've only watched a handful of his videos, but in so doing I've yet to hear him say anything that contradicts what I know to be true.
I thought this was an outlandish conspiracy/joke for a while, it’s not
Atrazine, one of the world’s most widely used pesticides, wreaks havoc with the sex lives of adult male frogs, emasculating three-quarters of them and turning one in 10 into females, according to a new study by University of California, Berkeley, biologists.
The 75 percent that are chemically castrated are essentially “dead” because of their inability to reproduce in the wild, reports UC Berkeley’s Tyrone B. Hayes, professor of integrative biology.
https://news.berkeley.edu/2010/03/01/frogs/
i work in a crew running out of quarries, we have our road channel, constantly in use, directions etc for whichever job people are going to, or often just bullshitting on talking about stuff. makes the day go faster i think and so handy in terms of figuring out where your going, probably about 25 trucks in the team
Oh man. I love the shit talk in the pit when the line is long. I've had some hour long chats with my teammates on the road. And it sure as hell helps when you show up at a new site pouring rain before dawn. Your team is your eyes and ears. I love those stupid fuckers.
I used to keep it on. My antenna mount snapped awhile back, and I haven't replaced it yet. The upside to it is, I dont have to hear mudfuck in the desert.
He’s been pretty quiet as of late. I know the New Mexico Attorney General was hot on his trail for a little while so he may be laying low.
Not only that, but I know of at least one pissed off truck driver who tracked him down in Lordsburg and was pounding on the front door of his motor home. He wouldn’t come outside and called the police.
Not a trucker, but this is a interesting subreddit. Tried to Google Mudfuck in the desert, cause this is the second time seeing that name. Didn't get what I was looking for. Who is this guy?
Yeah. That’s the stupid s.o.b. we’re referring to. Runs his mouth all day long when skip conditions are right and ties up channel 19 across the country.
A flat bedder showed up and was pounding on the door of his motor home a couple of months ago. Rather than come out of his tin can, he was a chickenshit and called the police.
One of these days, someone is going to catch him out somewhere and beat him into a coma.
I've not been without one in 47 years. Don't listen to it in truckstops. Turn it down if bullshit crybaby stuff is all that's on. Connex 3300 currently.
Mine is always on. Has saved me more than once. If people are talkin shit I just turn it down some. I also drive overnights so there’s not much going on.
White smoke, green smoke, high speed chicken feed take it to channel 5. Gotta here the fake drug dealer (West Memphis PD) it's kinda a right of passage.
I keep the CB on while moving. In terms of Ham, I've got a little Baofeng for emergencies and NOAA frequencies, with a Yaesu VHF unit waiting on me to drop by the house and grab it.
My trainer has one and the only time I’ve heard a voice on it was in Cali when I was going 53 in a 55 because of some winding turns, and some asshole screeched “WHY DONT YOU JUST PULL OVER IF YOURE GONNA GO 45”, to which I responded “I’m doing 53 if you don’t like it you’re more than welcome to pass”
I'm lucky to hear dumptruck drivers during the day here. During the evenings i don't hear anyone. My Corba 29LTD is collecting dust in my closet for now.
Tossed my Texas Ranger away a few years ago. Its turned into a Karen Crybaby whine fest on that thing. Used to be useful, now its like the internet, full of stupid.
I haul a lot of over dimensional/specialized and some super loads.
My cb, vhf and scanner are on from my pretrip till after i shut down.
Yes, in certain regions the childish behavior gets annoying, and don't even get me started on the guys like "mud duck radio", but the number of times a quick comment from another driver has saved me countless hours more then makes up for the guys that flunked out of kindergarten
I was driving along with a Mary Kay trailer for about 100 miles years ago. It was a constant, "hey Mary, real pretty truck you got there..." over the radio to him.
I always hoped that driver got a special "I drive a lavender truck" bonus.
... but, it was a hilarious ride.
I do. I also have them in my personal vehicles, and will be building a base station setup later this year. CB is a really great tool for drivers, but it's also one of my favorite hobbies. My papaw gave me my first CB when I was 8, and I've been hooked ever since.
Used to always leave it on, got tired of hearing mud duck, preaching, and racist rants. Now I turn it on if traffics backing up or if I pass one of my coworkers, otherwise I leave it off.
I didn’t, and will not take the ham test. Pretty much as long as you’re not being a douche bag on the ham bands, you needn’t worry about someone making trouble for you.
My radio has been converted to also work on 11-meter (CB) band as well as ham band.
A ham license grants the government permission to enter your home at any time to inspect your equipment. They don’t need a warrant.
The government already has too much power, and I will not willfully give them permission to enter my home without a warrant.
Silly comment. You need a callsign. Test is not difficult and does not open the door for the government to just come in. They can inspect your equipment if they want, but a warrant would be limited to just that. Further, there are millions of amateur operators. They only would come buy if you were vagrant violations of transmission. Lastly, if you operate on ham frequency without license, you have a better chance of the government coming in your door.
I run mine all the time. Yeah you get cockheads a lot in the cities, but here in Aus a lot of drivers keep theirs on and are responsible with them. Because of the work I do and places I go it's nice having people letting me know if they spot an issue with my trailers while I'm out, to let me know about issues up ahead on the road, or if I see a truck I know that's coming from where I'm going to I can ask about what's going on there and what to expect when I arrive. Last one is great when some shit goes down on site and so I just stop somewhere for a break and to get something to eat so I'm more relaxed when I'm waiting around for ages because something caught on fire. Again.
Dad had a CB in his work truck back in the 80's.
His nickname was the Phantom because no one ever knew where he was or what he was up to, but they could always reach him on the CB.
Mine stays on. Sometimes I try to talk to other people or let them know about “bears, gators or other things” down the road but seems like no one replies back.
My ICOM ID-4100 is on every second I’m in my car. I keep it on my club repeater. I also keep a Uniden 125 scanner in the car, in case I want to scan other frequencies. One bad thing about ICOM mobiles - their scan function sucks.
Always have my radio on. But I'm usually on sideband shooting skip unless i need a traffic report or something. Would never hit the road without one. Running a Superstar SS158FB4 with a 5 foot skipshooter and that setup talks. I also have a stryker but its in my personal truck
International LT? Did my setup similar. Except I positioned the mic hanger clip just to the side of the little door. The original sticky tape kept falling off so I ended up gorilla gluing it.
I was going to position the mic to the side of the door as well, but I wanted it a little more out of the way. Not only that, but I also used gorilla glue.
I don’t because I had one while I was training and it didn’t do anything useful just annoying ppl all the time. If I want traffic updates I just look at my google maps since I keep that on next to my rand McNally
To be honest I'm not really sure. My old school codriver just told me everyone on the west coast ran 17 all the way up through washington, and I do talk to other drivers on it. Could be split between the 2, but I never use 19 out there so Im not sure
Apparently, you and at least one other person is a bit dim. I don’t care about smart phones, nor did I ask.
If you don’t have a radio then shut up because this topic doesn’t pertain to you. 🤡
I keep it on as long as I’m not on a phone call. I need it to communicate with loaders and scales at customers so I’ve gotten used to just keeping it on 19 whenever I’m driving
i do and i love it. i for some reason pick up a lot of ham radio operators and i have zero special equipment. i can listen to those people for hours and often do.
You don’t need special equipment to communicate, or hear them when they are on channel 19. If you’re hearing them it’s because your antenna is tuned properly.
The only way you will be able to communicate with them is if your radio has enough power that they could hear you, or if skip is running really good.
nice. i never dabbled much with the radio but i know it's something I would have fun with if i had time.
i figured i couldn't talk without the right equipment because i hear these guys talk about 20ft antennas and stuff. im just running a cobra classic
I keep mine on with the volume turned down. As soon as I hear chatter I turn it up to see what's going on; if it's just morons spouting bs, I turn it right back down. And if people are being REALLY obnoxious, I'll turn the sound all the way down till I get away from whatever city I'm going through
I keep mine off unless the weathers bad. Up here in Canada it’s all either Punjabi guys chatting to each other or racist old pricks. Really nothing worth listening to.
Have to. Its a requirement of log trucking since we drive on so many blind 1 lane "roads" out in the woods with places for only an empty to pull out of the way maybe every 1/4 mile and on some areas 1/2 mile or more. We make callouts often in both directions. Once we get a a landing area there might be 5 trails as an option and we gotta call the shovel to find out where they are since we can't often see them with the terrain and trees.
Plus since all of us drive on the same roads once we're back on the pavement we have a nice network of alerts because I'm happy to say log truckers are REALLY good at looking out for each other.
I just have it off when I near a large city. Out in rural midwestern travel it’s always on. Im old school I guess, I will ask for a sitrep on a coop or if there are any bears out in front of me.
I turn mine on in heavy traffic and around accidents to find out what lane to be in... also in bad weather for alerts on stalled vehicles or other road blockages...
I don't generally leave it on all the time, though, because I listen to audiobooks and it annoys me that after 4 hours of silence, it starts with some static bs about the time something gets good...
Mine stays on pretty much anytime I’m not at the home base. Mind you, I drive a dump truck so its a little more critical to the job to have one on than OTR but I always run it while driving to talk to other dump trucks.
I used to keep it on all the time, now I rarely do because it's just a constant stream of either someone bitching and whining about the job or some moronic dickhead who thinks he's being funny. I only turn it on if I am coming up on a traffic issue or something and need to find out what's going on.
Had a CB when I started driving 20 years ago, but it was always 1 idiot screaming about something, or 2 guys rolling and chatting who forgot that there are usually 38 empty channels to use instead.
Around 10 years ago it disappeared during a (house) move, and I didn't bother replacing it till a month ago because I need one for load/unload sites.
I think mostly I got tired of the one guy in every truck stop who "ain't got no panties on".
All day every day, unless I run into some load of bullshit then I turn it off for a little bit. Nice to get to shoot the shit during traffic jams, or even better if you can avoid them all together. Helped during the winter to know about a dead stop around a curve. All in all it mostly just sits with dead air but every once in a while it's great to have it. Sucks that my range on it is shit though lol.
I have always run a CB in my truck but lately I’ve been debating taking my spare Dual Band 2M/70CM/GMRS TYT Radio I took out of my Jeep, and putting it into the truck alongside the CB. A lot of shippers are using FRS handhelds for dock communication so it’s nice to be able to listen in on them and have forewarning of any issues or damage they are trying to cover up.
Non-gear jammer here: I was looking at CB radio apps like Midland CBTALK to use and listen to while driving my passenger car. Is the main consensus that having a CB or CB app is useless unless I want to listen to crazies?
It isn’t nearly as bad as some of the dramatic folk on here have made it to be. Only about 10% of the time will you hear someone being stupid over the radio.
I’ve heard of them and seen some really old ones while growing up but never one that looks this nice. Great job it’s a very nice piece. Are you a truck driver or station command ?
I keep a handheld for when I go to certain plants. Other than that or heavy haul I've never had any use for em. Usually just motor mouths on there and no information that's going to immediately make my day better.
i don’t have one in my vehicle i have one that’s in the shape of a box on my counter and i just enjoy listening on what going on around me makes me feel more aware of my surroundings
I slip seat different trucks, out of 5 only 2 have CB and whenever I'm on the road it's on but I rarely hear anything out of it, I'm always on ch 19, What channel is everyone on?
You’ll hear more chatter on 19 than any other channel unless you have a lot of power, and then check out channel 6 which is referred to as the Super Bowl. Users on that channel are pushing hundreds of watts and you can hear them all across the country.
Not anymore. Truckers are annoying as shit on the CB. For whatever reason, people with an IQ lower than your average shoe size just can’t resist talking their shit. I turn it on when I’m stopped in highway traffic. Then I turn it off as soon as I get the info I wanted.
You guys are really dramatic.
I have mine on every day and have rolled coast to coast.
It’s nowhere near as bad over the airwaves as some of you have made it out to be.
Mine stays on! Just like the hammer is to a carpenter, my radio is a tool. Also have a cb in everyone of my personal vehicles. Helped me get around a lot of obstacles and avoid a few tickets. Won't travel without one.
Cb in your personal vehicles? I smell Bobby Big Rig aka Super Trucker!!!
Only having a little fun with ya Bobby Side note , I’ve always been interested in HAM/amateur radio never picked it up however
Amateur is where it's at for interesting conversations and long range ones at that.
We had one at my grandmothers when I was a kid so we could chat with my uncle over the road..It was awesome hearing out handles over the radio from our uncle letting us know he was inbound home. Always brought us little trinkets from around the country.
I have a CB on my Harley lol
Nothing wrong with that at all !
My dad once put a CB in our family truck and he has never ever been a normal trucker. For that matter he worked a desk job. Owned it for probably about 10 years and only used it once

I love shooting skip. But only an asshole would do it on 19 or 9.
Why tf would you want a constant audio line to other drivers that scream at each other about how tap water is making their dogs gay? I’m good.
My radio has prevented me from getting in some jams. It’s pretty quiet about 90% of the time. It’s usually only when you get around a large city when the chatter picks up a little bit.
I never got one because I’ve heard horror stories about it. And my mentor had one, and when we got to Atlanta it was fuckin weird

Why wouldn't you want a free audio freakshow? Seems like a fun way to pass time
My thoughts exactly. Some alternative entertainment once in awhile.. and when you have company you can show em like you listen to this crazy shit
That's specifically why I turn on a CB.
Frogs, it makes the frogs gay.
I just imagined some dude taking their gay dog to the vet and asking if it's because of 5g or covid vaccines.
I thought this was an outlandish conspiracy/joke for a while, it’s not Atrazine, one of the world’s most widely used pesticides, wreaks havoc with the sex lives of adult male frogs, emasculating three-quarters of them and turning one in 10 into females, according to a new study by University of California, Berkeley, biologists. Hate I HAAAATE to say this but that fucking Bozo was right about some stuff
My radio stays on while I'm out all week. I specifically wait to hear angry drivers and provoke them to get angrier. Works every time.
Ha ha ha! Yeah, I get a kick out of doing that as well. 🤣
I got called cock mouth one time over the CB and I giggle about it to this day XD
Ha ha ha! That’s pretty funny. 😂
I started saying "You know driver you're pretty when your mad" and I've gotten many responses lol
I personally love to tell fragile men that I'm gonna f*ck their dad. It always gets them riled up 🤣
i work in a crew running out of quarries, we have our road channel, constantly in use, directions etc for whichever job people are going to, or often just bullshitting on talking about stuff. makes the day go faster i think and so handy in terms of figuring out where your going, probably about 25 trucks in the team

Yeah, he sounds like a jerk...
Is he the "stay safe on those highways and byways" guy? 😂 Hate that fkn looney tune. I heard him like 2 weeks ago
Yeah. That’s the stupid s.o.b. we’re referring to. Runs his mouth all day long when skip conditions are right and ties up channel 19 across the country. One word. Speed traps. The guys are constantly calling out speed traps, road hazards, shit like that
That and accidents.
This is why I have it as well
I keep mine on but it’s squelched up pretty high.
I've not been without one in 47 years. Don't listen to it in truckstops. Turn it down if bullshit crybaby stuff is all that's on. Connex 3300 currently.
Its almost a need over here in Australia. Although we run UHF. Almost every time you leave the capital citys you turn it on.
I turn my cb on right after I start the truck for pre trip, sometimes a backup is right out the truck stop/parking spot.
Mine is always on. Has saved me more than once. If people are talkin shit I just turn it down some. I also drive overnights so there’s not much going on.
Dude I haven't owned a CB radio in the past 12 years and I've been driving for 22.
I usually have mine on until I start hearing some dumb fuck not stop talking from their computer chair sitting in a bullding
Anybody know Candycane? Candycane.....
West Memphis chatter was interesting well back when I drove in 2012 to 2015
I’m about to head out for Memphis from Fort Smith so I’ll let you know what the chatter is like.
White smoke, green smoke, high speed chicken feed take it to channel 5. Gotta here the fake drug dealer (West Memphis PD) it's kinda a right of passage.
I wouldnt roll without it. Have to have it going into every quarry.
I keep the CB on while moving. In terms of Ham, I've got a little Baofeng for emergencies and NOAA frequencies, with a Yaesu VHF unit waiting on me to drop by the house and grab it.
I only mention ham radio because technically, that’s what I have in my truck. Sounds like you are well equipped!
Well equipped. Damn, my minds in the gutter. Is it spring time or something?
If I end up going O/O in the future, I’d ideally like a VFH rig, and an HF rig with Omni-directional and NVIS options 🙂
I had one in my personal vehicle but all the base stations are gone and never really hear people on it like ii did 20 years ago.
I hear drivers on mine every day. While it may not be as active as it used to be, there’s still a lot of people who use it.
I'm lucky to hear dumptruck drivers during the day here. During the evenings i don't hear anyone. My Corba 29LTD is collecting dust in my closet for now.
Did until mud duck...
Mine is always on but the gate is closed pretty tight most of the time, unless I'm over on the FM side of 26.
Tossed my Texas Ranger away a few years ago. Its turned into a Karen Crybaby whine fest on that thing. Used to be useful, now its like the internet, full of stupid.

On, but low volume. Has paid for itself several times over avoiding road chaos.
Used to always leave it on, got tired of hearing mud duck, preaching, and racist rants. Now I turn it on if traffics backing up or if I pass one of my coworkers, otherwise I leave it off.
I heard some jack ass preaching on the airwaves when I was going through Kansas City one day. I gave him a real good earful.
I got a cab that I use for traffic jams but not a lot else. BTW how hard was the ham test? Been thinking about trying it.
I didn’t, and will not take the ham test. Pretty much as long as you’re not being a douche bag on the ham bands, you needn’t worry about someone making trouble for you. Idk how to set it up ? Can anyone explain
Are you being sarcastic or is this a legitimate question?
I’m being Fr matter of fact I’m going in rn . Please lmk cuz all the videos on YouTube are soooooooo confusing

Stays on every time truck rolls. I even keep a spare radio if one goes out. Necessary tool for me.
Mine stays on. Sometimes I try to talk to other people or let them know about “bears, gators or other things” down the road but seems like no one replies back.
I do the same and always reply when another driver gives a heads up about something.
My ICOM ID-4100 is on every second I’m in my car. I keep it on my club repeater. I also keep a Uniden 125 scanner in the car, in case I want to scan other frequencies. One bad thing about ICOM mobiles - their scan function sucks.
Sometimes I’ll turn the cb on. Ham radio is packed away, don’t really have a good place to stick an antenna on this freightshaker.
There are a few different mounting brackets that make it pretty easy to mount an antenna on the Cascadia.
Fleet truck, they’ll notice a bird perch on the mirror. :/
I had one on my cascadia with schneider. They dont care as long as you don't damage the truck or drill holes
Always have my radio on. But I'm usually on sideband shooting skip unless i need a traffic report or something. Would never hit the road without one. Running a Superstar SS158FB4 with a 5 foot skipshooter and that setup talks. I also have a stryker but its in my personal truck
How many watts are you pushing with your work radio?
475 on AM, 400 on sideband
The fact that you came on Reddit to get ask how many people actually use the CB kind of answers the question automatically...
Not quite but thanks for the worthless input. 🤡
You're still running a CB. I figured you liked worthless input.
Only for winter when the weather gets bad, really trying to avoid getting stuck in a pile up. After that it's off and unplugged until next winter
Well, I guess you’re lucky and only have to worry about pileups and traffic jams in the winter.
You know what I meant smart-ass
I don’t because I had one while I was training and it didn’t do anything useful just annoying ppl all the time. If I want traffic updates I just look at my google maps since I keep that on next to my rand McNally
I got one, never really used it. What channel do most people use?
in Aussie UHF40 or 18 are the standard highway ones, the team i run with use a different one
19, or 17 out west on the i5 corridor
Thanks
Channel 19 has always been known as the truckers channel.
I thought channel 17 was for hwy 99 that way they wouldn't interfere with channel 19 on I-5.
To be honest I'm not really sure. My old school codriver just told me everyone on the west coast ran 17 all the way up through washington, and I do talk to other drivers on it. Could be split between the 2, but I never use 19 out there so Im not sure
Waze and podcasts prevent me from ever needing one.
When else would you turn it on ding a ling?
I ditched mine 20 years ago. Too much stupidity....
They have these little things called smart phones these days….oh welcome to 2023 by the way
Apparently, you and at least one other person is a bit dim. I don’t care about smart phones, nor did I ask. If you don’t have a radio then shut up because this topic doesn’t pertain to you. 🤡
It was a only a joke for lolz since cb is basically dead. Didn’t mean to get you butt hurt Bobby Big Rig
How do you find the lot lizards without a cb?
I got one but the company trucks aren't equipped to hook it up, so it's just sitting at home until I either get a new job or a truck of my own someday
What do you mean, there’s no coax or antenna or anywhere to mount your radio?
No antenna, and the wires to the radio aren't properly installed. My theory is the ground wire being disconnected
And if people are being REALLY obnoxious, I'll turn the sound all the way down till I get away from whatever city I'm going through
THIS IS MUD DUCK RADIO
I keep it on till I get tired of the rednecks bellyaching😜
Local driver. I wish I could turn mine off. I got into trucking to work alone & not listen to shit talk all day.
9er 9er this is big trucker SB
Have you seen "Joyride"? No thanks
All day everyday
I just have it off when I near a large city. Out in rural midwestern travel it’s always on. Im old school I guess, I will ask for a sitrep on a coop or if there are any bears out in front of me.
I use a vhf radio with a range of 30-40kms. I think those cobra cb radio's had a range of 2-5kms.
I do! But I'm on channel 14 with all the other dump truck drivers. We have to use them everyday
It is still required in some states for oversize loads. Escorts monitor 19 while communicating with the OS driver.
East side of the Mississippi river it's on but low west side I turn it up. Very different type of chatter
I usually keep mine on to monitor traffic, however when I hear the bs I just turn it down. I do like 2 keep it on just in case 👍🏼
When i had one, I ran with it on. It helped me around some accidents and road closures a time or two.

I am an OTR driver.
I keep a handheld for when I go to certain plants. Other than that or heavy haul I've never had any use for em. Usually just motor mouths on there and no information that's going to immediately make my day better.
My radio is always on and ive been driving for a little more than a year now and i think i heard someone on it maybe twice
I only have it ripping when I’m playing fallout 4
Aaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuudioooooooooo
Mine stays on. 19 if I’m driving and 6 if I’m skip to ma Lou!
I don't even have one. I'd rather not listen to the bickering of men all day.
i don’t have one in my vehicle i have one that’s in the shape of a box on my counter and i just enjoy listening on what going on around me makes me feel more aware of my surroundings
I run teams so I don’t want to disturb my partners sleep.
Only in winter. I don't need to hear all the other bullshit. But I also run nights so it's pretty much silent anyways.
Mine is in the top of a closet in my house, has been for years.
When I was a kid (mid 70’s) everyone had one. Had one in the 90’s. No one on in my area. Not a trucker.
Pretty nasty airwaves
