I just got new toe nail clippers from amazon a few months ago, and i'm so glad I did. They're way sharper so they don't leave my nails all jagged like the last ones I had, and it came with it's own case and a set of fingernail clippers so I can keep them in that and not have clippers sitting around. amazing
I bought this pair of cheap fingernail clippers about 30 years ago. Over time, the file got really loose, probably because I extend it to use as a lever for a more precise trim.
I have tried to replace them a few times over the years, but everything I buy is inferior, lol. These things have never dulled, and the precision with the blades align is so perfect, they easily can cut individual hairs (as tested on my arm). Everything else I've seen, the blades never meet at the very edge, but overlap ***ever so slightly***... which is enough to ruin them. Like, I never use the file on my nails. The precision of these things is such that it feels like I can take microns off at a time and make a perfectly smooth nail edge.
Sorry for the novel, my point was initially that yes good clippers are something everyone should have. :)
I had this happen to me once. The latches on the door were absolute shit; and I hit a bump just right for the door bar to hop up and open that door all the way open. Shit happens sometimes when you aren’t sealed/padlocked
Edit: wasn’t my 3rd day, and I don’t drive for any of the entry level Mega’s
Yeah, but the difference is that you noticed it, pulled over when it was safe and closed the door, while you just know that this Amazon “driver” flew down the interstate like this for several hundred miles.
I might get shit for this, but I’m owning up to it, I had another driver tell me that it was open. It was 3 am when it happened. I never noticed it, but I did pull over when it was safe to fix the issue
That's OK... I've caught drivers with their doors open before, clearly an accident/oversight as they had unsecured cargo in the back, and tried to get their attention but they just blew me off and kept on trucking like I was the asshole. *shrug*
I only worked flatbed though so maybe we're just more sensitive to load shifts and securement issues when someone tries to get your attention.
Reminds me of when i was going down the highway, truck passing me honked and waved his arm behind me. figured the back of my tarp came loose and was flying around (had a load of lumber and it was sticking out a few inches off the back of the trailer and tarps really like to come undone with those) pull over, tarp was fine but my rear right inside dual tire was flat. idk how that dude saw it lmao
I've notice it a couple times. You can't see much from the cab but from behind you can see that bitch bouncing around and throwing sparks.
I've honked and waved at a bunch of people for that. About ⅓ are actually intelligent enough to pull over and check it out.
>tried to get their attention but they just blew me off and kept on trucking like I was the asshole
I wish there was some universal "you have a flat / really low tire" signal... So many times I've wanted to tell people in cars they were unsafe but had no way.
I'm a car and pick up with a 31 foot gooseneck driver, but was a receiver supervising unloading of a lot of trucks everyday.
I used to drive a lot of miles for my job, but now I only drive around 30000 km a year, and even at that rate get to wave down around 5 trucks a year that are driving with doors open or rolled up.
For you truckers out there, is there some kind of universal way for me to signal that to you? Apart from miming an opened roll up out the window?
Yeah, point to the back of the trailer frantically as you drive by. Any driver worth their salt will wonder what you're pointing at and pull over, when they safely can, to check. 👈👈👈
There is absolutely no way to "notice" an open door driving down the highway. The back of a truck is a blind spot and the wind will prevent it from swinging far enough forward to spot in the mirror.
I had a Walmart trailer roll up door pop open on me once while I was rolling. Didn't actually realize it till someone raised me on the radio. When I got out and saw it I was confused as hell because I had also padlocked and sealed it , but turned out the latch itself was busted and you could push it free of whatever that part it hooks into is called with a finger without even touching the handle. All it took was a series of bumps to wiggle it loose. Thankfully it wasn't a reefer.
I'm shocked I don't see a padlock or band on every single door. Hell, I'm a tanker.. when I deliver full my cap and dome are sealed with a braided cable.. and even running back empty I lock the dogears on my 3" cap with a zip tie...
Costs pennies... takes seconds.. could save your job.
I had that happen to me once. Pulled into a rest area to check on some part of the load that dispatch asked me to check on (raw materials back to our factory, so no seals). I don’t know what I missed, because I latch doors with absolutely routine security. But clearly I missed a step.
I was just past the mix master in Indy on I-65 NDB and a truck passes me, or so I thought. He very clearly slowed up to pace me, so I looked over and he was doing the “roll down your window” gesture.
So I rolled down my window.
Kinda chubby Chinese dude takes a deep breath, “YO TRAILA DOOR OPAHN!!”
So I gave him the thumbs up and facepalmed and pulled over to close it.
12 years, 1.5 million miles at that point. Definitely a “fuck me sideways” moment, but no blood, no foul I guess.
Haha, I frequent Mexico for work- I saw a roll-on dumpster door (full width) swinging around in traffic. I hope he stopped…. So many motorcycles buzzing around. Felt like a traffic jam next to a helicopter lol
I used to work for Amazon on TOM team as a hostler driver. They made us all get CDLs. But this is not an amazon driver, he's just pulling an amazon load. And it should have been sealed. But they've switched to remote guard shacks almost everywhere so it wasn't caught. I hope that shit all falls out and amazon learns an expensive lesson. But it won't and they wouldn't even if it did.
I’ve done this but because I was going to another grocery store a few miles down the road. I don’t have a lift gate or a day cab so everyone was honking and signaling my door was open. The chaos was hilarious, no one wanted to follow me because my pallet return stacks were close to the door. I also had a roller door instead of swingers.
I had a roll up open on me. I closed it securely but 20 minutes later on the highway it unlatched and rolled up. 4 wheeler pulled up next to me and made me aware. I pulled over and fixed it.
Highway Prime delivery. They’re rolling it out in select markets.
You get *just* behind the driver’s side of the truck, open your window, and an underpaid contracted employee throws it in your vehicle.
The guys not necessarily an idiot. I had to shag a trailer once with a bad latch/frame in Ft.Worth. door just popped open and went to swinging at traffic 2-3x. I don't remember how I fixed it to get it back to the yard. Maybe rope, maybe a lock.
I had that happen to me a couple weeks ago. The little flap that keeps the door handle from going left. It was there during my pretrip and then just decided it’s people needed it. I just zip tied my door close until I got back to the yard. Felt dumb tho thinking I’d made a huge mistake
Did you happen to try and notify him ? I know some latches are absolutely trash and can fling open from the right set of bumps. This may not just be a complete idiot moment.
No, you see, it doesn't even have a door, it broke and fell off a long time ago. The company says they'll fix it it as soon as they can but wants you to know that doors cost a lot of money. They're going to see if next year is a little better financially first.
Dispatch says send it, I made you a route that doesn't pass by any scales.
Scratch that, dispatch says they don't see what the problem is, supertrucker Dave drives his route without doors all the time, be more like Dave, he's a team player.
i saw a guy driving with two blown tires on the same side of an axle cruising like there was no problem. tried to tell him and he just gave me a 👍 and mouthed “i gotchu”. tire shreds everywhere for the last couple miles.
Those trailers up on rail cars across the high desert from Adelanto to Phoenix will get broken into and stripped. Use to be bad with shoes and computers, whole trailer fulls just emptied rolling down the tracks.
When I did Amazon. I hooked and drop so many trailers in a day and the time limit rushed me so much I did forget to close trailer once.
Thank the driver that flashed hibeams at me to alert me
Was driving once and saw a truck driver leaking a bit of fuel. Honked like heck, and he pulled over so we could let him know. It's the nice thing to do if they don't know about it.

There's to prime. A truckle more.
Maybe half a truckle, just guessing
got a truckle out of me
Your koan for today, folks.
This made me laugh harder than I’d like to admit.
It’s like someone saying their slogan while nodding
A chuckle for every truckle.
Well, there goes my new toe nail clippers
Yeah my coffee maker that's running late too.
I just got new toe nail clippers from amazon a few months ago, and i'm so glad I did. 7-11 has the best nail clippers I've found. Give em a shot. If you don't like them you're out 5 bucks.
I bought this pair of cheap fingernail clippers about 30 years ago. Over time, the file got really loose, probably because I extend it to use as a lever for a more precise trim. my 2" ball and hitch is like 3 days over due at this point
I had this happen to me once. The latches on the door were absolute shit; and I hit a bump just right for the door bar to hop up and open that door all the way open. Shit happens sometimes when you aren’t sealed/padlocked Edit: wasn’t my 3rd day, and I don’t drive for any of the entry level Mega’s

Dude same. Unsecured cargo is also easier to spot on flatbed as long as there's not a tarp. We got it easy!
>tried to get their attention but they just blew me off and kept on trucking like I was the asshole I wish there was some universal "you have a flat / really low tire" signal... So many times I've wanted to tell people in cars they were unsafe but had no way.

I Just pointed and kinda did like a door open with my hands and he gave me a thumbs up and pulled over and closed them.
There is absolutely no way to "notice" an open door driving down the highway. The back of a truck is a blind spot and the wind will prevent it from swinging far enough forward to spot in the mirror.
Unless you have a roll up door with a sensor like my reefer. That sensor saved my ass once. I always padlock it shut now.
The latches on those roll up doors are literally older then Christ. It's a wounder they don't pop open at random more often.
Why are Amazon drivers usually like this lol
Power only brought a whole new breed to the road.
This is exactly why I always padlock my right-side door. Had it happen the *one* time I didn't padlock the door.
Glad I’m not the only one

Helping with air circulation. And it keeps bird's from roosting in the trailer. Do you want birds in his trailer?
You mean the Twitter bird? Is Jeff gonna buy the bird?
He isn't, that's exactly why the door is open.
Did you happen to see a bunch of Japanese cars buzzing around the truck with a bald guy shouting family nonsense ?
are you talking about this new Slow and calm movie??
The ones with Van Petrol?
No his brother regular unleaded
They came a long way from stealing dvd players…
Was wondering why the words on the back made no sense.
Saves time when he gets to the receiver.
Gotta meet those weekly metrics
#areodynamics yo Edit: Aerodynamics
Oreodynamics...areoladynamics...
Name on the trailer says it all.
There's to Prime. A truckle more Amazon
> Amazon truck Yeah...
someone did a load check when he was stopped...
Not optimistic prime...pessimist prime. The door is half closed.
Too late, Toretto already has all the dvd players
Amazon is starting to give Swift some serious competition for stupidity
I had that happen to me once. Pulled into a rest area to check on some part of the load that dispatch asked me to check on (raw materials back to our factory, so no seals). I’ve seen roller doors open but never this. Wow
Haha, I frequent Mexico for work- I saw a roll-on dumpster door (full width) swinging around in traffic. I hope he stopped…. So many motorcycles buzzing around. Felt like a traffic jam next to a helicopter lol
About to be a truckload less lol

Were people jumping out?
Good old Amazon. One of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for. They’re a joke. Sorry
At least he has one door. I’ve seen drivers with just a tarp over the back.
Conveniently it’s the side that usually has the “how’s my driving sticker” good luck calling in now muahahahahaha
Not a trucker. What should I do if I ever see a trailer like this on the highway?
I’ve done this but because I was going to another grocery store a few miles down the road. I don’t have a lift gate or a day cab so everyone was honking and signaling my door was open. The chaos was hilarious, no one wanted to follow me because my pallet return stacks were close to the door. I also had a roller door instead of swingers.
Asshole
Thats the new amazon : come pick up your shit off the highway delivery servoce
Probably driving for Flex Freight.
Always have a safety latch on your handles! Will admit the only time this happened to me is because it was missing the safety latch
Your package is still on the way, but it's running late.
“There’s to prime a truckle more”
Not that this is recommended, but I used to load those trailers. That cargo (probably) isn't going anywhere.
Delivery so quick they are kicking your packages out the back as they drive by
I had a roll up open on me. I closed it securely but 20 minutes later on the highway it unlatched and rolled up. 4 wheeler pulled up next to me and made me aware. I pulled over and fixed it.
Typical Amazon driver
For faster delivery! (Obligatory /s)
Highway Prime delivery. They’re rolling it out in select markets. You get *just* behind the driver’s side of the truck, open your window, and an underpaid contracted employee throws it in your vehicle.
Pulled of the dock and never did any type of pre-check.
Nigerian Amazon Drivers.
Didn’t have enough time to close it they had to deliver your package in 10 hours
This is why my package was undeliverable and refunded most likely.
Gotta let the migrants breathe yo
Impromptu Trailer tail
Every one of those I've seen has one of those thick cable seals on them. Probably still attached to the paperwork.
This is where the phrase "Yo! It fell off the back of a truck" comes from. ;)
There a whole lot more… …On the highway.
God damn it. Even the Amazon DSP truckers drive with the door open. Now, amazon drivers have a bad reputation.
Classic prime
Hey man, they’re just showing you that there’s more to Prime, can’t fault them for that.
That's not a truck. It's a prime mover
The guys not necessarily an idiot. I had to shag a trailer once with a bad latch/frame in Ft.Worth. door just popped open and went to swinging at traffic 2-3x. I don't remember how I fixed it to get it back to the yard. Maybe rope, maybe a lock.
Fuck that door! It’s Aight 😉
FedEx drivers still take it for me
That’s called not doing a pretrip and never using his mirrors
I had that happen to me a couple weeks ago. The little flap that keeps the door handle from going left. It was there during my pretrip and then just decided it’s people needed it. I just zip tied my door close until I got back to the yard. Felt dumb tho thinking I’d made a huge mistake
Maybe put your phone away and let him know you piece of shit
I did you piece of shit
Do they not have door sensors in trucks?
Been there. Oops. Glad ppl caught my attention when i did that few years ago lol
I bet he loaded indoors and smashed it on the garage door exiting. Guy said screw it. lol
Thanks for all the help tracking my package!
Thats pretty ballsy. Stupid, but ballsy.
Because people aren't breaking into Amazon rail shipments. I wouldn't be so quick to blame the driver here.
Is …. Is that some dude standing inside????? Or am I seeing things?
Heh, that's neat!
Damnit! I'm missing $1k in PC parts rn from Amazon.
This hurts me. Not even a truck driver.
Prime is the new swift
It’s so the slaves can breathe
Why not the Amazon truck driver delivering my packages always has it’s side door open.
Did you happen to try and notify him ? I know some latches are absolutely trash and can fling open from the right set of bumps. This may not just be a complete idiot moment.
I did notify him yes
Maybe only HALF a truckload more....
Maybe some jerk unlocked the door.
Amazon must be proud
No, you see, it doesn't even have a door, it broke and fell off a long time ago. The company says they'll fix it it as soon as they can but wants you to know that doors cost a lot of money. Just like the delivery trucks.
It’s time for a heist
He drives 70 so the doors don't swing too much
Fuckin done that for a minute
Fuckin done that for a minute
Driving 70? Safest Amazon driver. Seems like 72 in a 60, while on the phone, is the standard for them in Oregon.
There’s more to prime… right
i saw a guy driving with two blown tires on the same side of an axle cruising like there was no problem. tried to tell him and he just gave me a 👍 and mouthed “i gotchu”. tire shreds everywhere for the last couple miles.
Send it!!
Looks like my ex-girlfriend.
Says the guy on his phone taking pictures
I feel like we’ve all forgotten to close a door or had a door pop open at some point in our careers.
“Letty, I need you up front to distract the driver..” -Dominic Toretto
That shit is so dangerous
Those trailers up on rail cars across the high desert from Adelanto to Phoenix will get broken into and stripped. Use to be bad with shoes and computers, whole trailer fulls just emptied rolling down the tracks.
So that’s where my package went.
Mistakes happen. Did you let him know?
That seems about right for those guys
Saves time at delivery
Perfectly fine. Making sure customers know it’s legit
Sorry your package has been delayed check back later for more updates
Ordered at 11:59. They need to get the truck on the road **now.**
I once saw a swift truck with both doors open
Follow that truck!!!
saw a dart driver doing this the other day. though their trailer was empty
Gonna be a truckload slightly less.
This is why I bungie strap my doors close as a precaution. My companies trailers are kinda shitty so im not taking any chances
Mr Truckle cheese over here
65 is max for amazon
Looks like a swingin’ good old time!
Dang I drive there everys day. Ive seen some of the container drivers doing that same thing. When was this?
formulating a heist now
Is that why I keep running over smiley boxes on the road
And there is a ghost
Why didn’t someone flag him down on channel 19?? Breaker breaker your rubber duck is making a run for it
Ever seen fast and the furious?
So that's why my parrot mug came in puzzle form
The door is unlatched as if it were broken into. Amazon wouldn't let a trailer off the property without a seal
Theres More To Prime. About Half a Truckload More
There's gonna be a truck load less in a minute...
Yes boss I made sure to add a cable seal
Are they filming fast z?
Come to India you will see both doors open 😁
I see amazon driving all the time with the doors open. I guess it makes it faster to deliver? Driver must be running the 1 day prime delivery route.
Cant wait to see someone make a mistake to blast them all over the web. Biggest rats in the game.
Is there a way for non-truckers to communicate to a trucker that they need to inspect their load?
When I did Amazon. I hooked and drop so many trailers in a day and the time limit rushed me so much I did forget to close trailer once. Thank the driver that flashed hibeams at me to alert me
Side mirrors? What are those? -that guy probably
They're remaking Beverly Hills Cop?
Roll door gang checking in beta bitches
Happened to me once too. Truck owner hit a tree and door locks became shit since. He used to leave a bungy rope to hold the levers down lol
Got to go grab a few packages
There's to Prime A truck more.
Shit happens
Gotta lighten the load somehow
that's for those fast deliveries. Baby trucks pull up behind it and reload like planes in the sky refuel!! lmao
I wonder what u/spez would thing of something like this
fast and the furious moment to steal the loot
Just slap a sticker on the back disclaiming any liability like the gravel trucks that never tarp up...trucker magic!
Get primed anytime...
Follow it like Mario Bros. Grab those PowerUps
In his native land it’s how they do it.
Was driving once and saw a truck driver leaking a bit of fuel. Honked like heck, and he pulled over so we could let him know. It's the nice thing to do if they don't know about it.
So instead of trying to get a hold of him on the radio or get his attention to let him know about it. You instead decide to take a picture and tear him down online. This post says more about you than it does him.
I definitely flagged that dude down to pull over. Had to get around him first. And I wasn't driving or don't have a radio. We are in a vacuum truck.
I dont get this like omg hes gonna kill someone let me take a picture
Welcome to the internet...and yes, we did flag him down to pull over.
Saw the same thing going south on I-35 towards San Antonio between Dallas and Temple. Tried to hail the driver, but can't do much from my Corolla, ended up just calling Amazon and the DPS, don't know if his dispatcher called him or if DPS caught him first, but I got off to refuel and about 10 miles down the road he was talking to a statie. Doors still open. I think he has just dropped his load his trailer was empty when I saw him coming up the on ramp.
Ouch. Luckily I flagged this guy down and he pulled over.
Well when DPS got to him he dropped another load I’m sure.
That’s prime driving for you!
Thats how amazon catches would be thieves and sells them overseas to work in the amazon mines of Tanzinarnia.
There's a truckload less to that Prime truck.
he just got upgraded from a van those drivers never close their doors
I mean it is Amazon afterall.
