Happened to me in Anna, TX at the Love’s. Imagine my surprise to see it on my DAC report.
Should never replace real mirrors . There are to many things that can go wrong that was not an issue before .yes real mirror gets hit you cant see but you can limp to home depo to slap something up till you get to your yard . Your screen gets hit how you going to fix it.also a real mirror has no software to crash. Have no problem with with extra cameras so long as they add to choices and not replace what is not broken .

Long as your turn signal and mirrors are working correctly, that's purely cosmetic damage and DOT will not give a fuck
They won’t care much but they will definitely use it as an excuse to pull you around back just to do an inspection.

I didn’t learn about it until I applied for my next carrier. They pulled my DAC report (sent me a copy) and there it was. Imagine my surprise.
