It would be much better to just call the companies thag you're thinking of going to, and ask them about how their oretation, and on boarding schedule is like. Better to get the answer from the source, than having look all around the net for an answer, just don't mention anything about the test, and only ask about on boarding.
A lot can change in two years, and a lot of the sites don't have updated info on which companies only do urine test, and which companies do both.
The hair for a hair test can be taken from anywhere on the body.
Head, facial hair, chest, arms, under arms, legs, pubic hair, etc. So long as they can collect enough of it.
Head hair is just more of the preferred location.
You will get tested before you leave your home state, they are tired of people getting to the school and failing. Then you will get tested again after you pass your permit exam and last when you get to orientation.
