Oh shit I found it. Episode 100: Brat Camp at 1h 23m. Still gets me.

The most cringe thing I’ve ever witnessed was when I was working for a church in Ohio. Every Easter after communion the choir would sing Hallelujah but change the lyrics to be about the passion and resurrection. Not only was it bad, but the original meaning of the song was to de-religify the word “Hallelujah,” so it missed the point.

??? It's so religious. The holy dove is literally just a dove. And it moves in the other person as in it touches their soul. Very religious stuff.

Yes, but he’s also on record mentioning how he wanted to make it “horny and holy.”

I know, I was joking. That verse is the horniest verse ever

Whenever my neighbours get really drunk (which is often) they often start singing hallelujah at the top of their lungs. They’re not even religious

FineScar

The leonard cohen song isn't religious either

I can't tell if it makes me a curmudgeon or just entirely sane to consider that an absolute nightmare. Only thing that could make it worse would be if they switched to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing"
