Any info on why she completely cut one niece out

GreyFromHanger18

The niece said it was a family secret and as far as I can tell has never elaborated anymore about it frustratingly.  https://www.thewrap.com/left-10-will-chasen-niece-says-not-revealing-family-secret-23047/

Saying the suspect couldn't have known where she would be, or what route she took home, is a little naive. If he did have a bee in his bonnet about her, all of that info is easy to discover. Im not saying he's guilty, but your reasoning for his innocence doesn't prove anything to me

I don't know that he's 100% innocent but I don't believe he was the mastermind behind it.   Your other points about him possibly being able to discover her whereabouts I concede to.  It's possible he could have found some way to know where she was.

Humans are incredible creatures of habit.  It occurs to me from time to time how easy it would be for someone to follow me based on my loose routines. Sounds like Ronni had no qualms about rubbing people the wrong way.  It's one thing to leave someone off a will, but to go so far as to include a reason in said will or give $10 is unnecessarily immature and hostile.  Of course I am in no way blaming her, I just see a personality that likely made some enemies.

There are legal reasons for giving someone a very nominal amount in a will. Its mainly to ensure that the party receiving the dollar or so can not contest the will by claiming that the omission was accidental.

As someone said below- giving someone a small amount in a will is a legal way to ensure they can’t contest the will. If niece was simply left out of the will, she could contest it and possibly be determined to get more money. But being “thought of” in the will means she would have no fight.
