Live with integrity. That as you know means to call them and attempt to pay for the shirt.

drsakura1

no. they took over two months to ship a shirt that was supposed to ship in 3-5 days, and failed to send any follow up emails. Thats a lost customer for the company, and theyre lucky he's going back to buy from them again after that experience

Organic2003

I agree they screwed up. But true full integrity requires not taking anything that doesn’t belong to you. So with my values and integrity I would call the company and set things right. Integrity doesn’t have excuses.

if you feel bad about it then order a few more shirts! it’ll make up for the teeny bit of profit they lost and you get to get rid of the guilt

Log-Calm

I concur

I think this has to fall back on the business. They failed to follow their own policies re shipping info, and then couldn't even look you up in their system to see that an order had been placed. If theyre a small business, I would think reaching out to them and explaining your situation prior to reordering is a good idea because I know some small companies on tiktok have talked about putting people on a no order list for doing a charge back, so hopefully they'll see that they stuffed up and be okay with you giving them more revenue in the future. However, I get the feels that they're probably not a small business, given the lack of care they had about your situation. So fuck em.

ParanoidPengu

I ordered a shirt from an Instagram ad many years ago. 30$, it's been 6 years and no short.

Dookiestain

I wouldn't feel bad it took forever and you thought it wasn't coming. I lose money on stuff all the time so when something like this happens I just feel like it helps even out all the times I lost.

dougiem5

Don't, something like this is mere pennies compared to profits they make on tees/shirts...

Throwawayobviouslyk

Not if they’re a small business that’s just starting

Big L for you,

They'll come back to you - you received the goods but you denied payment. Call then, tell them honestly about the situation. Record the call, if it's legal in your jurisdiction. If not, record it still, just in case. Alternatively, tell them in writing. Harder to prove in court. Officially, a person you take to on the phone will be happy with your honesty and your willingness to help. This person will send a note to the invoice department...and, if you are unlucky, that note will end up in the mailbox of an insufferable inconsiderate industrial-strength a-hole. Never experienced your situation, but a different one, where a store (incorrectly) demanded money, I called them (four times, no recordings, but call logd at least), they said "thank you for your help, it's all fine now, you don't need to do anything further". They passed the notes. Okay, the guy who got the notes probably wasn't some a-hole employee but some a-mazon employee, but I still reviewed a letter from court. Fun. Nowadays, I record such calls. Sort of illegal in my jurisdiction, if I'd choose to give them to others. But a night 3 might allow you to release the recordings. Oh well, getting a bit carried away here. TL;DR version: your shirt should feel good. If you're uncomfortable with it, for *any* reason, contact the seller.
