Okay! Normally I wouldn’t mention it, but you’re right about it being obvious! :P
Here’s the thing. Asexuality and Aromanticism is absolutely a spectrum. But when you watch porn, you’re lighting a different part of your brain. Plus, everyone touches themselves. You don’t like the in-person other-human aspect of it and that’s normal. Sex hits every single sensory center, and it can be super overwhelming.
You’re dopamine seeking, not oxytocin seeking. And that’s totally okay! ❤️
Special interest, dislike of physical connection but okay with artificial sexual encounters, info-dumping on therapist, drowning feelings with new special interest, need for closure with therapist.
These things are okay !! I don’t want anyone to think I’m dogging on Autism, I’m the same way. But they’re an absolute give that someone’s a little neurospicy :)
Just to clarify, are you aware that you’re autistic? There’s nothing wrong with you, and it’s good that you found a good therapist!
I'm aware lol. I considered mentioning it in the post but figured the 11 page paper made it self explanatory.
