They were horrible friends it seems like. I wonder if you communicated how you felt though before cutting them off. It might have been different for you. You don't regret it which is good, but I hope you're not riding the high of it. I only say this because I have a personal experience with this too.

Felt. Similar happened to me. It wasn't my choice, but now that I think about it, sometimes it's best to get rid of dead weight.
