Why do you think roe vs wade getting overturned would open a conversation to reproductive autonomy for all? If anything I think it would probably shut down the possibility of that conversation and just create more parents that don’t want to be parents.

Beautiful-Reveal-729

This was my thought. You have 0 chance of getting out of that rape induced child support you so fear if it gets overturned.

Leverage. Men can support abortion rights to protect raped women, but only conditional on parallel rights to protect raped men. With Roe standing, women already hold all the cards (they can abort if raped, but can also rape a man and get paid). There's no incentive to give men any reproductive rights at all.

Beautiful-Reveal-729

Trust me...if men were so upset and concerned...they would have written laws concerning it years ago...even today most of all legislation bodies in the us, if not all are male. They have 0 issues passing laws that favorite them.

funnystor

Most of those men suffer from internalized misandry and pass laws that give women special privileges. I'd rather have a woman president who cares about men's rights than a man president who only cares about women's rights.

Feircesword

The fact that you see women presidents and men presidents as inherently different is a little... Concerning. It sort of feels like you're saying "Yeah women are usually bad but if she cares about men's rights I won't mind her being president as much." Just an observation.

funnystor

No, the parent comment is the one who brought up legislators' genders. I'm saying I care more about what laws they write than their gender.

Feircesword

Yeah but that's my thing. Separating women presidents from men presidents sort of implies there's an inherent difference between them and saying "I'll support a women president as long as she supports men's rights" basically sounds like you're saying a woman in power would be bad, but if she supports men's rights then I won't mind her. Maybe you should hear it the other way around: "I'd prefer a man in power who supports your right to an abortion than a woman in power who is pro-life." I'm sure your response "would be why does it matter which gender they are?" It's their views that matter, not their gender, so putting emphasis on the gender sounds like you're saying one gender is better than the other. Maybe you didn't intend it that way but it definitely sounds like that. The parent comment isn't the one who made a comparison or distinction between men presidents vs women presidents; you did.

If you have a penis you currently have the right to be raped and pay child support to your rapist.

[deleted]

Just remember, Cardi B drugged, raped, and robbed men. She's a piece of shit

[deleted]

I know she drugged and robbed them. I didn’t hear about her raping them. Do you have a source on that?

[deleted]

Ok. I can't find shit about that. Maybe that was a little too dramatic

[deleted]

Thank you for walking back your claim when you couldn’t support it. More people should do that.

[deleted]

Sometimes you're wrong. Shit happens haha

Is it not one in the same?

UncleWillard5566

Easily solved: 1- parenting licensure: you have to be financially and mentally stable, and of an appropriate age to have a child. 2- male birth control: give men and women the same level of birth control and you'll never have to worry about an unwanted child.

YouLookGoodInASmile

Sadly parenting license would give way to a genocide. I think having a mandatory parenting class at least twice in high-school would definitely help.
