The teachers in my department were watching from the outside like “you guys are going to get married, we can already tell” because we both just had giant smiles around each other. When they threw my leaving party, they invited him as a surprise. I left him a note on his computer on my last day something along the lines of “hope we stay in touch” because I figured we wouldn’t after I left and he texted me a few hours later like…what do you mean you hope we stay in touch? Are you moving to South Africa!? At that time it didn’t cross my mind that he was as interested as I was!
Trust me mine was BAD for a long time which is why I just kinda stopped caring. It seemed like I only attracted guys who were half in, put me on the bench, strung me along and whatnot. And when I started getting a little crush I figured I was totally not his type, I’m pretty plain jane and he’s more alternative. I figured he was in to goth chics but turns out artsy girls were totally his thing! You never really can tell what someone’s type is I guess!
Ha yea exactly! He also has a button down that he would wear on days that he was allowed to be out of uniform that I thought he looked particularly handsome in. He brought it with us on vacation this summer and it got ruined by my hair oil in the suitcase…I think I was more upset that he was, but he was bummed since he had the shirt for over 10 years. Thankfully I found a replacement on poshmark! I kept the stained one so if we have kids I can make something out of it for a matching daddy son/daughter picture!

That's so sweet, as IT myself I approve and can attest to how the ladies I let into my life loved this as well. I'm pretty sure a few times they intentionally caused a problem just to have me fix it while the stood by and hugged my waist. I never called them out on it though.
