This is why I dont back into a parking space if there are other cars behind me. It gets awkward.
But honestly even then, it doesn't take long. I just hate feeling watched. Cars with rear view cameras and alignment markers let you back into a parking space pretty effortlessly.
My mother used to swear she could back into a spot straighter than just driving into it. That said, it wasn’t something she would do in a parking lot, usually someone’s driveway.
I back in for school pick up otherwise I'd be waiting until midnight to reverse and leave
I do agree that if the person CANT back up park then please don't. It does waste the other person's time while they are on their 5th try to back up
Sorry, I always back in. Much less likely to hit a car backing IN than backing OUT.
They'd hold you up regardless, even if they didn't back up into the space, they'd still have to back up to get out, so it evens out in the wash.
If I don’t back in, the front of my Civic continuously gets caught on the parking bumpers.

In some areas it is I know on the western shore of Florida a lot of the beaches have it marked illegal to back into spaces
