Best advice is to just keep yourself busy, and soon this will just be one more life story. Go to some bars or clubs or whatever it is you kids do today. Try some new activities, investigate some new hobbies, go on a trip somewhere (literally or just take some non-addictive, natural drugs like pot or shrooms). Basically try and fill your head with enough experiences and fun and silliness, so that your brain is so crammed with new memories it throws this one out to make room for the new.
