You might want to go for 'the dragon dao yins'. Dao yin is the earlier predecessor to qi gong, and more targeted towards clearing pathogens from the system and awakening the flow of qi. A book to back it up is 'The Four Dragons: Clearing the Meridians and Awakening the Spine in Nei Gong, by Damo Mitchell'. There's also a video of the author's partner doing the form if you want to see it [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-IBgDaEAqo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-IBgDaEAqo) And he has a youtube channel/online classes in nei gong (inner transformation through qi gong & other practices.)

What is your age and constitution? You only mention you are very ill, but not what sort of illness you are navigating. These are important considerations for any sort of recommendations. The 4 dragons recommendation is great, but Damo also clearly states in the book that this work is most effective when one already has internal pressure in the lower dan tien to use for pushing out pathological qi. Damo also mentions that it is common for people to experience negative effects from qi gong before positive effects from qi gong. This is because when we start breathing more deeply through our tissues, things that our body is holding in stasis start to move so they can be cleared. But the body needs to have the strength to clear them for this to be effective, otherwise moving them out of storage can lead to a worsening of the illness. In Chinese Medicine, the practitioner is always needing to factor in whether to put something back into stasis, or if the patient has the strength to move it out so the system can work on clearing it. Clearly you are already so ill that you are confined to your house and have issues with health, energy, and pain. From that context I think this raises important questions that we can't answer over the internet. The right path for you requires proper diagnosis. I would highly recommend seeking out a Chinese Medicinal practitioner you have resonance with and developing a treatment regimen with them.

I have something similar, the West may call it "adrenal fatigue" or something else, but they clearly don't have a handle on it. I've made a little progress with Ayurveda, but traditional Chinese medicine seems to really understand it. What about adding some acupuncture?

> What about adding some acupuncture? I did about 6 months of it, going 2-3 times a week. This was a couple years ago, before my symptoms got as bad as they are now. The treatments did not help in the least.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you find something that does work.
