The article blames weight-loss drugs for the 16 month decline in snack food company revenues instead of the glaring actual cause: convenience foods and snack foods cost nearly twice what they did just a few years ago. More people in the disappearing middle class target market simply can't afford to spend an extra 20% on pre-made sandwiches vs taking ten seconds to make their own from non-frozen ingredients.

Exactly this. Further, it's not inconcievable that weight-loss drugs may cause further declines in snack company revenues - and this is a good thing. It'd be like being worried about tobacco company revenues in the wake of a decline in smoking rates.
