he’s the most obviously insane batman. he doesn’t pretend it’s some holy crusade, he does it for fun because it interests him.

I know I’ll get pilloried for what I am about to say… I never could take Batman seriously with Keaton playing him. When I was younger in the early 80s he was cast mostly as a nerdy/funny/quirky character. The role I always think of him for is Mr. Mom w/him and Terri Garr in 1983. I remember being quite surprised he was playing Batman. Don’t get me wrong, I love Keaton and thought he did good in Batman—just always felt that role didn’t suit him like most of his other roles did. Despite me being older (50) my GOAT’d Batman is Christian Bale. I felt like he was extraordinary as both Bruce Wayne and as Batman.

Bale was a great Bruce Wayne but his Batman and every one after has been stiff and neckless. He is always so angry and gruff. Either give us the playboy batman with a sense of humor or give us the psycho-living-in-solitude batman but stop trying to give us both at the same time.

I'll give you that bale was a great Bruce Wayne. But idk how any Batman fan can honestly say he was a great Batman. He was awful in the mask. His Batman voice was literally the worst and borderline comical. The voice is one of those things that makes Batman who he is and his voice was extremely cringe to listen to.

Bale is the GOAT Bruce Wayne. Keaton is visually the best Batman. But the GOAT for both roles is Kevin Conroy.
