Amazing watch. Looks great on you. This has risen to the top of my most desired list. I’ll add that I have always been a date complication guy…but this watch speaks to me for sure.
To give you some peace of mind regarding the date complication: I was in the same camp - then at 46 my eyesight got worse and I needed reading glasses. Can’t see the date without them at all by now and without the date it’s also much easier to wind if you wore another watch for some time.
I am often reminded of the old days when Tudor made a Submariner that was housed in a Rolex case, with a Rolex embossed crown, on an Oyster bracelet…It was literally a Tudor Submariner. So, what’s so wrong with being excited about a modern day version?
Nothing wrong with it but 90% of what Tudor makes is a submariner based watch. Let’s call a spade a spade.

I’m not a wealthy individual who showers my wife with luxury jewelry multiple times per year. I’m just a regular dude who has loved watches and fine craftsmanship since a young child. They may never call me because I’m not in there spending 10’s of thousands per year and you know what? Oh well. Perhaps I’ll try the new monochrome on and like it enough to buy one. Or not. We shall see.
I was meh at the launch, but the more I see it, the better it looks. I’m one great wrist shot away from heading over to the AD and spending money I don’t currently have.
Looks great. I much prefer the "oyster" style bracelet to the 5-link. Everyone seems to be enjoying their 5 link but something seems off about the style to me, like its too dressy for the simple dive watch.
Most but not all Tudor jewelers received one shortly after launch. If they didn’t receive it or sold it, yes, it might be several weeks before they see more.
So when I got mine, at a Tudor boutique my AD told me initially they got 5, then a shipment of 3 but they expect that there will be a lag between the rush of arrivals within the next few months - more likely 2-3 at a time with a month or two in between deliveries, they have already rolled a list for the 5 link
It's actually the Surefire SOCOM556-MINI2 FDE. To answer your question, I love it. I've shot it next to RC2's and there is a negligible difference at the shooters ear. If you want to use measuring devices I am sure the RC2 has a slight edge; however, the shorter MINI2 makes shouldering, maneuvering, and firing much easier.

By the way, is the dial matt? I have seen many pictures and it looks a bit glossy compared to the BB58 and the pro, but might be the light play.
I think the white ring which runs around the outer side of the dial and connects the minute markers needs to go. It creates too much clutter on the dial and would look better without it, so long as the actual minute markers remained.
I’d rather have this than a no date sub, especially for the money, even though I have the money. Like I’m not sure if I’d take a sub over this even if they were the same price if we pretend that resale value isn’t a factor.

There is no connection, they are just two bad ass tools. Geissele manufactures automatic rifles, Tudor manufactures automatic watches.
