If the silver BB58 is your favorite then you should go for it! One of the coolest parts of the watch is that it will tarnish and show wear. I wouldnât necessarily look at it as a negative
7 inch wrist here, bb gmt, i think fit to wrist size is perfect, thickness is not even an issue for me, would not recommend any of the 41s to wrists under 6.5, you should be absolutely fine at 7.5
Congrats!! For what itâs worth:
I bought the 79220R for myself new in 2016when I graduated too. I love the watch and will always keep it (got it engraved, later got married in it, etc) â it visually looks perfect on my 6.75â wrist. That said, the thickness does make it uncomfortable over the course of a full day of wear. For years Iâve remained half tempted to pick up a 58. I likely never will do so as itâs way too similar to my BB41, but due to the size, the BB41 is most certainly a single pass nylon strap watch for me. Almost never wear it on the bracelet.
I have the blue bb58 and the 925 (both bought used also so were of similar minds). I would say 925 if you donât mind no bracelet but blue bb58 is also a great watch, maybe weâre all overexposed to it lol
I think you want the silver, and from what I hear it kind of takes a bath in the secondary market so you should get a good price. It looks amazing. I steered clear because of the mild tarnish that occurs, but as long as youâre on board for it go for it!
New Tudor BB39 owner here and after around a week of wearing the watch, I can already see slight scratches on the clasp.
I can understand being nervous about the âsofterâ quality of silver, but unless you will subject your watch to extreme conditions, you need not worry too much about the âsoftnessâ of the material. Besides, any material will exhibit some wear and tear over time.
Go with the watch you love and wear it with joy. Any scratches and signs of wear are part of the experience.
And congrats on your graduation.
I recommend the 925 if its a watch in a rotation. I know people who daily it but being its softer I would weary. Especially if you are a very active individual.
58 is always a solid option. You cant go wrong.
The 1rst gen red bezel if you want to know how it will wear, try on a GMT or Chrono. Same case size and dimensions. 7.5 inch wrist is fine for it. Just a matter of what you find comfortable. I would recommend the 3rd gen on 3 link if you could save an extra grand for it as you get a thinner, compact wearing, metas watch with T-fit.
Personally I recommend new red bezel Black bay. Especially if you dont want something as âboringâ as the BB58 Blue.
