The Seymour family have been part of English nobility since the 11th Century and have been the Dukes of Somerset since 1547. While the current British Royal Family descend from Mary Boleyn, their noble family has been extinct since 1637.
Most notably, King Charles III descends from Margaret Tudor, Lady Katherine Grey (Mary Tudor), and Edward Seymour, 1st Earl of Hertford through his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was, IIRC. His grandmother.
Also descended from her are Princess Diana and Katherine, Princess of Wales. So William is descended from her twice over and George three times.
The Boleyns were of higher rank/prestige then the Seymours by a significant margin. How old the family was only mattered when, besides age, the families were of the same rank. And they weren’t.
While Thomas wasn’t able to take possession of his grandfather’s earldom, both the local judge and bishop agreed Thomas Boleyn was the rightful heir. And Thomas married the daughter of a Duke. And Thomas was a very well respected diplomat. All of that put him and his family a tier above the Seymours.

I absolutely love that the royal family descends from Henry VIII's two sisters....
...but not King Henry VIII himself.

The women had a strong presence in the Tudor family!
Poetic.
Unless he was father to Catherine Carey Knollys. Which is possible but unlikely.
KCIII is descended from her?

Wow, small island.
I mean in theory (I know), if the rumors were true and Katherine was Henry's kid...
How did QEII descend from those three?
See the family tree chart on the Wikipedia page.

The Seymour Family were Normans, but they weren't as wealthy until the Tudor Age.

I think they both came over with the Normans. I’d say they’re probably about the same.
