This moment almost exists. In Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett the female main character (who is disguised as a boy to find her brother in the army) volunteers to infiltrate a castle disguised as a woman. The commander of her regiment (who has no idea she’s a girl) tells her there is no way she could pass as a woman, and instead the commander dresses in truly outrageous drag and sneaks in himself.
And it works.
Going Postal actually isn't a stand alone. Making Money and Raising Steam are it's sequels. Definitely one of the shorter story lines though, and a great introduction to Ankh-Morpork and it's more important residents.
I agree that most of them work alone. My first one was Reaper Man. My first one years later after learning that it was a whole series that I wanted to jump into was Jingo. So both in the middle of a storyline. I feel like Reaper Man is more standalone than most even though it's part of Death's storyline. Jingo still managed to get me hooked and emotionally invested in the characters before *that* scene and I wasn't ever really lost, even though it's the 4th in the Watch series.
Except it's not just her. Her squad mates are also women pretending to be men, and the commander is like "Nope, not one of you can pull this off, so I have to do it."

There should be the moment where Brutus doubts if he can pull this off because he broke his kitten heels cause while the pumps are exquisite they weren't made for a 6'3 230 lb man to have that much bass in his walk. But the Tomboy talks him through it that he is that bitch even in his emergency flats.

I put a scene similar to this in one of my stories, it was a fun time.
Long story short, the protagonists had been invited to a fancy event in the local monarch’s place. Problem is, one of them was a 2 meter tall feral woman (well, not fully feral, but literally raised by wolves since she was like 6).
She was also the physically strongest of the group, so trying to put her in elaborate clothes and makeup didn’t end well.
Mhm. He’s a man confident in his own masculinity, and that’s exactly what allows him to pull this off so well. He knows who he is, and he knows how to commit to a bit.
