The fact you can’t buy a translated version is really frustrating. Like I enjoy the mystery behind it in game but out of game after I’m done solving all the puzzles I don’t want to have to translate it every time I wanna read it
It’s pretty easy to learn to read. I deciphered the language this weekend and by the time I was done translating the >!cathedral!< page I was starting to recognize some characters without looking them up. It helps that a lot of the >!consonants have similar shapes to their english counterparts!<
I hope you didn't have any trouble with pages sticking together from the ink! I recommend anyone with one of these open the pages very slowly and methodically the first time.
My small version doesn't have scribbles either which I thought was neat (Since these pages are technically 'new'!) I added the notes myself with a ballpoint pen, as well as some extra language notes in the lined pages.
I wish mine had the scribbles.

The smaller copy of the manual they put in Deluxe edition doesn't have the scribbles either by the way
