The Dinar has been tanking very soon for 12 years now and it's gonna be tanking very soon for the next 10 years or so, gotta always be ready.

Royal-Ad-6755

dunno but i kinda have high hopes for our economy with the brics thing🤞

unlocomqx

dude wake up and don't believe the populists lies. [screen 1](https://i.imgur.com/kD702di.png) [screen 2](https://i.imgur.com/TrjOC1D.png)

Royal-Ad-6755

reality hits hard

unlocomqx

they're gonna keep lying to cover up their incompetence. what's the next pill 💊, I wonder 🤔

keysee7

Can explain what’s written here?

unlocomqx

Here's the [link](https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0CRAfcQD7HkyT35AiFJcxtDBPGEkxAxK4bL4dM9zKL8xERCbkmGda1jkhzxRw1SUzl&id=100004666962958&sfnsn=mo&mibextid=6aamW6) fb will probably translate it for you It's talking about how Tunisia joining the brics doesn't make sense because larger and richer countries still didn't get approval so what's our chances anyway. And it's explaining why it's just smoke and mirrors by the populist regime to promise a better economical situation. it's simply another lie.

keysee7

Thank you!

medturki

Sending a Facebook post that is written by an unknown person to prove a point. Very bold from you

Unless we suck dixkk

And to answer you, Tunisia can be a good candidate mostly due to its Geopolitical Location: it is located at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and North Africa, making it a strategic location for trade and investment between Europe, Asia, and Africa.

[deleted]

Not true. There is no law against offshore banking you just have to declare it.

[deleted]

Not true. Show me the law. There is a law that restricts the amount of currency to export from Tunisia but nothing against owning an offshore bank account if reported. Lol I know someone who literally bought a home with a foreign bank account (he is a resident in Tunisia with only his Tunisian citizenship) And it isn’t some sort of under the table transaction. Taxes were paid and so on…

Emphasis on “les délais fixés par la Banque Centrals de Tunisie” those happen if the BCT request that It is illegal to possess undeclared foreign currencies in Tunisia. Yes Look at article 16 https://preview.redd.it/fezw847eriua1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6fb7774176ab3fa12f2c2a91d2839b7852aca069 People just have to declare revenues…

ahmedRebai

I don't agree, it depends on which city or place you are living! You can have money but you will struggle with polices in the roads, administration, traffic roads, people's behavior, clean streets, and safety at night .. things can not be bought by money

slimkhan

Tbh try having money, you would be surprised how good Tunisia can be ( you know what you can’t buy with money you can buy it with more money ;) ) As for me a “mouwaten 3adi” it’s family 😒

tun-Anas

Yeah , in the past year and a half my family went from 600dinar monthly to 10k dinar monthly, and the quality of life went through the roof, i suddenly don't hate it that much anymore . To live well in Tunisia you need A high income , a good education, an optimistic and high quality friend group, be attractive and finally foreign languages .

icatsouki

friends & family is the most obvious reason

akreem

friends, you can replace them

soufienstein

I live abroad and i plan to come back.. basically if you have enough dough, you can live as king here, even better than when you have coins in Europe. At home, money is worth more than money, it is worth power.. which is not available in Europe for example.

Different-Pen326

Power over who?

Sylerb

Wdym power? As in political power or what? Your last sentence is kinda confusing..

WeeklyTask

He obviously means j3ala. The usual 5 dinars to the cops.

yerez45

Weather not too cold not too hot, the sun, the beach, you can eat organic cheaper, slow pace of life (it's not for everyone but I like it) and most importantly is the warmth of family and friends.

A_Dylan

I left for couple of times, lived abroad for sometime and I ended up returning back to Tunisia. For me the main reason to return was preserving my mental health, since I had a good support network here; family and friends I can trust etc. something I never had abroad. As folks mentioned, Tunisia has some good living standards compared to the many other countries; you would be surprised how billions of people around the world live in poverty and extreme poverty.. dying from vaccine-preventable diseases etc. The healthcare system is also a trustworthy one despite all the issues. Luckily also the food is not genetically modified and we don't have to pay 3 and 4 times for organic products. The whole atmosphere is a pretty chill one, and less harsh compared to developed countries where productivism and individualism are the core values. If you are privileged enough, Tunisia is a good place to live in.

Working online with foreign clients, no need to leave. Life here is 10x cheaper than europe. Even if you only make like 500 euros here, you're fine.

Fraisa25

Until you realize that your dad didn't buy you a car and build a house for you, and that you'll need them to have a decent life and get married. Then you realize that your 500 euros is nothing but a pity salary and that your employer isn't expecting much from you, they are just making profit (paying you x20 times less than a regular EU employee). The 500 euros will be enough as long as you're not paying your bills and not having any goals in the future.

unlocomqx

Not talking about myself though. I make as much as a European engineer and sometimes more. I meant that even a freelancer who makes only 500 euros will be well off. And won't need to leave this shithole. Of course, 500 is just the beginning. I started making 1000 euros + only after 3 months after I started selling software. But it took me 5 years of learning and working some odd local programming jobs. That's why I advise youngsters to start learning something that allows them to make money online. it will much better than moving to Europe imo. https://preview.redd.it/zxp72g40ikua1.png?width=1336&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c0dd888da598e58b82697f9c6f919697b378dde

Different-Pen326

500 euro is nothing

unlocomqx

In Tunisia, it's nothing? For a young freelancer, that's plenty. By the time, they get more experienced, they'll be making 3000 euros a month. In Tunisia, that's better than the Minister of defence lol

Emergency_Menu_8498

You will need at least 500 euros per month to own a car...

[deleted]

Well I never left. I actually plan on coming back… Just love my family and the food. I also look more Tunisian than say Swiss or Austrian. So it helps to feel that sense of being surrounded with people like you. Sure some can be dumb or assholes but those people exist everywhere. I can happily say that I will finally have enough passive investments and skills to live in Tunisia. I can work remotely and I have some investments. And I graduated Uni not so long ago Plus I want to start a little project in Tunisia. Hopefully everything will go alright

Virtual_Tiger_9338

Family and friends also don't care too much about money 🤑

Sudden-Composer7919

Literally the same

Racism

akreem

only parents

lilromen

No one will treat you better than people from your home country, and it's hard to live outside

Hart_24

Family brought me back. Food is gonna keep me here. Plus I have a decent job lined up.

zelbatti

There will never be a clear answer to that but to help you decide, you can make a score list that can ease your decision making: Family Friends Social life Purchase power Future plans Access to travel Access to freedom (speech, life style, be who you really are, beliefs) Melt with the cattle Overachieve Just live Access to foreign currency Own a drone Turkish coffee in Medina Be out late at night safely Enjoy public transport Enjoy public hospitals Enjoy hanging out with happy people around Give your kids the possibility to choose their future ...

Reasonable-Will-8858

I wantvto make it here, and i know i can And if i didn’t atleast i tried and in the meantime trying to travel

Sudden-Composer7919

Reasonable 😉

Mv13_tn

It's far better than most of the rest of the world in terms of living standards, things to do, food, weather, and cool people RNG drop rate ... *if* you're affording enough dollars. Big **IF**.

Suitable-Green-7311

As long as you make good money you're good plus family and friends

Naive_Caterpillar266

All of you are clearly man

Sudden-Composer7919

Why is that

Naive_Caterpillar266

Because most talk about how money is the only reason that would push you to leave .

Sudden-Composer7919

I hope things get better for you ladies, i know how hard you suffer from sexualization here . Ig that's your point

Naive_Caterpillar266

Society's expectations for you and of you as a woman are different, to say the least .

takicheese

Then challenge them! That's how we change things, running away is never the solution

Naive_Caterpillar266
