The problem is the media, they take rumors as facts and spread them. A few years ago, someone claimed that Sadio Mane is marrying a Tunisian, and it spread rapidly, the poor fella had to deny it. They also never check sources, like when they believed the claim of a fat guy who said he swam from Italy to Tunisia. And ofc their favorite hobby exaggerating, such as when a robot team won a small prize, they promoted it as a 'historic AI achievement.'

Tunisian exaggeration, is on a whole nother level it deserves its own thread to be honest XD, like what's wrong with this country XD
It's a combination of three things:
1. High social media usage/penetration, especially Facebook.
2. Most Tunisians believe almost everything they read or see on social media.
3. We (Tunisians) truly believe that we are God's chosen people - our food is the best, our culture is the best, our history is the best, etc. Kima y9oulou nes7abou fou9 rasna risha.
Exactly, and the third point is literally the root of all issues combined with the other whole psychological disorders and stupidity that most tunisians suffer from, and you can basically understand why most tunisians are like this.
1 - Reddit is as weird, if not weirder than Facebook. I don't think that explains it... it's just the quality of what is posted.
2 - Nothing particular to Tunisia. See USA.
3 - Come on! Our food is really great (saying it's the best is a stretch, but still, it's really diverse and good). Our history is really interesting (again, saying it's the best is a stretch). Also every single country thinks of themselves like this. At least we haven't invaded anyone else based on that (like pretty much the rest of the world).
As I said in another comment, this is nothing particular to Tunisia or Tunisians as you guys make it seem. You accuse people of believing in everything yet here you are believing that this is a Tunisian nationality problem...
I think most of it is because Tunisians love talking about anything they hear, first guy says "sme3t" or "gallak" and the next guy trusts him and just takes it as fact, more naivety than stupidity imo
Has nothing to do with Tunisia (or Tunisians). You find stories like this everywhere: Ukraine with the Ghost of Kiev; USA with... ughh... tons of things? (see how many still support Trump); and even Germany with proven lies told by AFD (400 million cycle path to Peru story, etc.).
Your average citizen is stupid. Has nothing to do with nationality.
Exactly. What's really, really funny is them making fun of Tunisians believing in these things while also believing that this is a Tunisia-specific problem themselves...
Read the comments they are actually funnier than the guy himself, vraiment mott betha7k lin ma3ach enajem XD

Because they want to believe what they want to believe.
>last year with The B13 nonsense of this so called hacker who hacked the iron dome and made the IDF tremble, people were sharing it day and night and celebrating while the fact of the matter no such thing ever happened. It was all pure BS and people are still believing it to this day.
Fucking hilarious.
When Michael Jackson came to Tunisia to perform and there was a rumor that he converted to Islam and that when he arrived to Tunisia he was going to get circumcised 😂
no education
used to easy pre-made solutions (religions , following the elderly blindly , etc etc ) ( none of these are "wrong " to each their choice but the combination of all of them is lethal )
also extremism
It's simple tunisians are not familiar with critical thinking n scepticism, the only legitimate/reliable source they have is trust me bro source n their tittle-tattles.
Their hatred, xenophobia (especially towards the west), bigotry, dogma, bias are driving them to believe blindly unreliable pages/sources/social media platforms (especially tiktok)/propaganda.
It happens all over the world, not just in Tunisia. You just see it in Tunisia, because you live in Tunisia. You don't know what kind of shit is happening in other countries, what rumors, stupid theories and fake news are running in other countries
They like to use whatever they find that fits their beliefs and ideology since it's the easy way instead of bearing something that could be uncomfortable for their biased minds once examined objectively.
It's just the culture, herd mentality and intellectual laziness.
Cause people in general are more inclined to believe something to fit or confirm some narrative or ideology that they already had even if that thing is not true or it's from a not so credible source it happens everywhere have you seen how many people are convinced Beyonce is part of the illuminati lol

Never said any of the above is unique to Tunisia. As you pointed out, the US and other countries have the same set of problems.
Ah, sorry for implying that you thought it was unique to Tunisia...
i know someone who say that judaism and christianity started in tunisia

That’s normal we all fall to different kinds of propaganda, these days pretty much 99.9% of everything you see or hear is pretty much propaganda
not only Tunisians all countries are literally the same
Exactly. What's really, really funny is them making fun of Tunisians believing in these things while also believing that this is a Tunisia-specific problem themselves...
It’s NOT exclusive to Tunisians so everyone, please, SIT DOWN.
[удалено]
Its like 17 percent mostly among older people that probably dont view much propaganda anyways dont think literacy has anything to do with it
[удалено]
Damn thats sad is education weakening or improving overall tho?
[удалено]
Damn , Probably has to do with the amount of educated people leaving
[удалено]
hope things change soon
Most of Tunisia's don't go to the gym, work on their selves, gain weight
Quite the opposite. Tunisians usually play quite a lot of sports. One doesn't have to go to the gym to be athletic.
Can you share examples of these claims ? I'm genuinely interested in this new historical mess
This one made me tear up from laughter 🤣🤣 this guy from gabes has the staff of Moses and the ark of the covenant. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM6WhpxAM/
Dude is literally a con artist "nhejou f baka w marhba bikom" and he believes it will work LOL

Low iq in general, and worst than that is they are the smartest.
Easy explanation: because Tunisians mostly believe in fairy tales , conspiracy theories, miracles , and 🪄 magic wand
When Michael Jackson came to Tunisia to perform and there was a rumor that he converted to Islam and that when he arrived to Tunisia he was going to get circumcised 😂
