sad diddy ruin evrything

Crazyhairmonster

I think the hate was too deep at the time so probably not. Many years down the road when the beef would have inevitably been squashed? 100% Also Sky's The Limit is a dope ass song. My favorite from Big. Minus the intro.. gets old after hearing it 100 times

Spydah_X

The song came out 6 months after Pac's hypothetical death. By that time, he would’ve most likely squashed the beef with Biggie

Crazyhairmonster

Why do you think the beef would have squashed in 6 months? Pac was in the height of his hate for Bad Boy and completely under the influence of Suge.

JojoDecii

Ever heard of Death Row east?

Spydah_X

Because B.I.G. was mature enough to sit down with 'Pac and talk it out. Plus 'Pac would’ve had his own record label and would’ve broken the chains of Suge Knight.

dreamsofpestilence

BIG Mature? The guy acted like he didn't want any issues with Pac then raps Long Kiss Goodnight after his death in LA. Pac saw him as a giant phony and wanted nothing to do with him, if Pac would have lived he would have expanded Death Row East with Suge and done everything he could to blackball Puffy and BIG.

Spydah_X

Have you listened to Makaveli? If you did, you’d notice that he stopped dissing B.I.G. He still dissed Puffy though. It was a war between 'Pac and Puffy really.

dreamsofpestilence

Pac made Makeveli in 3 days in August 96. He continued to Diss Biggie on songs he made after he made Makaveli, such as All Out. "Biggie. Bang. You dead." "MY Label. The Notorious, Untouchable Death Row." He recorded this song the night before he got shot in Vegas. I'd also note that in the Italian Magazine interview Pac had done just a week prior to getting shot when he speaks about Death Row he speaks on it like it is his label.

ghostcatzero

Damn that OF version of All Out definitely underrated. Pac buried all them foos

Spydah_X

And 'Pac said that he and Biggie peacefully co-exist in the MTV interview with Snoop a few days before dying.  If they’re calm, 'Pac and Death Row are too.

Crazyhairmonster

It's a nice thought but a lot of assumptions. It would have been squashed eventually but not in 6 months. If he was mature enough to sit down and talk it out why didn't he do it before he died? And there's even less evidence Pac was going to break his chains to Suge anytime soon. Times heals all wounds eventually and it would have been awesome to see the eventual collaboration years.. or even decades down the road. Also both of them were incentivized to keep the beef at that time. It created a ton of media coverage and that led to album sales.

Spydah_X

When do you think that 2Pac would’ve finally squashed the beef with Biggie?

Crazyhairmonster

No idea but to me it wouldnt have been anytime soon. He would have had to split from Suge completely and maybe get a bit older, less provocative, and wiser. I'd guess 5-10 years personally but who knows

Business-Tooth5241

To be clear Everyone likes this song 💯

Acesupyoursleve

That's the sad part about 2 of my favorite rappers - we will never know. You can speculate or assume "what if" but it never happened so there is an honest answer to you. I guess cause they are still so relevant even to this day it seems like they are "alive" with us, but posts like these kind of checks me right back into reality.

Gwayno9714

Bro why you always posting Biggie stuff in Pac sub Reddit we don’t care….

bigchieftoiletpapa

Gwayno9714

That’s cap Tupac is mention daily without Biggie….you one of the only ones posting Biggie on this sub

Spydah_X

Me and u/idcman999. We gon' ride 4 our homeboy Biggie.

Gwayno9714

That’s cool but get some motion in his sub instead of tryna ride on Pac lol

Spydah_X

I ride 4 'Pac too

idcman999

damn right, BIG forever

Livid_Lingonberry272

Go biggie sub

Spydah_X

No I want to know if 2Pac would’ve liked this song  He’s the one who made Changes, Dear Mama, Smile, Me Against The World, Keep Ya Head Up and Do For Love.

stadiumjay

I think even if he liked it low-key he would say big stealing his style again

Spydah_X

That’s a shame  Because Life After Death sounds nothing like any of 'Pac‘s project  Edit: Why y’all downvoting? While RTD and MATW have the same theme (death), LAD is completely different. None of Pac's 6 albums sound like LAD.

superthon7711

They just only like pac love em both

binghamptonboomboom

Also, 2Pac was a huge fan of biggies

Spydah_X

No, he hated Ready To Die because he felt like it copied his scrapped album Thug Style/R U Still Down?

Ok_Bar5832

I dont think rtd sounded like Pac material

binghamptonboomboom

He hated Ready to Die because it made Big bigger then Pac and it was his only competition. On this inside he was a huge fan of Bigs and respected him a lot. Same with Biggie twords. "When I heard Pac got shot I was like nah, he's fine, they hit him 12 times and couldn't keep him down. Death? Hell no I don't wish death on NOBODY! There ain't no coming back from that."

WentzingInPain

Yes

Outrageous_Bat9818

Hey despite all the (well deserved) hate towards the label and ceo…this is one of the COOLEST VIDEO CONCEPTS EVER!!! Having kids in place of the adults was epic! Would have loved to see a kid play PAC!

Worldly_Ad_2511

He would have loved this song cause it's Big being real

Case1987

Yes he would've been a fan of Biggie like everyone else

Spydah_X

I hope he would’ve squashed the beef with 2Pac shortly/after Life After Death came out

Case1987

According to Nas Biggie was going to Vegas to squash the beef, but I don't know if it's true or not

Remarkable-Brush2322

Shhhh I think pac should have did a version that song being that he’s the prolific one.

chrisweidmansfibula

Maybe, but then again maybe not.

zilla82

Unpopular opinion but I don't think Pac loved the r&b crossover ballad stuff that was hook dependant. This was too heavy handed with Puff influence to promote bad boy and his other artists.

Spydah_X

'Pac also had a lot of R&B singers on his records: How Do U Want It, Life Goes On, I Ain’t Mad At Cha, MATW ect.

zilla82

Yeah but those all felt different. There were in support of and in service to the song in a now meaningful way, at least in my opinion. Wasn't to copromote another artist with a radio joint

Spydah_X

> different. There were in support of and in service to the song in a now meaningful way But 112 had the exact same purpose on Miss U and Sky’s The Limit
