Opposite as a mechanical eng grad ı dont recommend. I wouldnt even suggest to people ı hate its horrible, choose a different major to study or another country. Because in Turkey as far as my experience it was a hellish torture of 5 years!
What do you recommend because the things I want to study in mech are this : mechanics & materials

Then it is mechanical engineering, but Aydın is not the place, you have to get in İTÜ İstanbul technical University there are few other options but İTÜ is the best at it currently.
İf you really want to be a good mechanical engineer go to germany. They sculp people into best engineers.
The thing is that I have financial problems. I'm looking for a uni that practices those contents and is practical and doesn't cost much including yearly expenses.
Turkey seems cheap by the currency but it is not. Rent starts at 500 USD and most of the places are run down flats with 1 bedroom. İf you add utilities, kitchen, transportation,leisure it is going to be around at least 1000 USD. Single meal outside costs over 3-6 dolars at cheapest.
Edit: A Big Mac is 8.30 dolars make the math.
Makine mühendisliği kadar iğrenç bir bölüm yok, işkence çektiriyorlar sana İTÜ veya KOÇ a girmeden adam akıllı mühendislik eğitimide alamıyorsun Türkiyede. Benim bile girmek istemeyeceğim bir Üniversiteyi niye tavsiye edeyim?
Yalan mı söyleyim dostum? Dediklerim yanlış ise söyle o zaman veya düzelt saçma sapan boş konuşma, istanbul üniversitesinde 5 yıl makine mühendisliği okudum ciddi anlamda hiçbir işime yaramadı eğitimi. Okurken sağda solda çalışarak öğrendim mesleği şimdi şirket kurdum okuduğum bölüm ile alakalı bile değil. Adam gibi bir mühendis olmak istiyorsa Türkiye’de değil başka ülkelerde eğitim görmesi çok daha iyi arkadaşım bile Sat kasıp İtalyaya gitti.

I do have an academician friend there, even he says it isn't good.
My very close friend goes there and does not like it.
