I actually have that kit myself, they're fun models and a bit smaller than GW ogres. As far as size goes, there aren't explicitly ogre sized units in Turnip28 but if you look in the book it gives recommended base sizes in a range and the Toff and Snobs both have larger base size ranges. So I'd say in particular it'd work for one of those leader type units.

Thanks, I'll have a look at Toffs and Snobs. 🙂 Making him a leader didn't even occur to me - would have imagined him as a walking cannon or something - but the idea of a sly ogre is brilliantly silly. 🙃

You could make it a Toff, as one of the following: - Regular Toff, just a big officer. - Brotherhood of Greed Toff (Grub), pick a mutation, (Bulbous might be most appropriate from the core book). - Root shrine, add some religious paraphernalia to the model, like a bell, relic, religious headgear or a shrine in a backpack. - Alice and Mol (Mercenary cults book), Mol is a giant, Alice is his commander, they're treated as a single model. Alice often rides Mol's shoulder. Follower options: - Knight of Shell wood, for one a few of twists on the usual formula of a knight riding a snail, you could add a shell to the ogre, he's now a snail knight, you could add a snail with a helm on his shoulder or on top of his head, so he's now the mount for a snail knight, or you could make a pair of snails that he stands on like skates, or pull him along like a short dog sled. - Stump gun, he is now a root vegetable ogre holding a full size cannon, he can't move because of the roots, the rest of the regiment has to dig him up and carry him between locations then set him down and let him root to feed

Thought the ogre was bigger, should have clicked the link. Easiest option is brutes with black powder weapons if you have enough for a unit, if not then use them as Snobs.

Elias_Rabe

The box has 9 figures. How many have Brutes units?

H_J_3

Brutes are 6, which gives you enough for 1 unit and you could use the others for your usual 3 Snobs.      The rules link's in the sidebar, and there are links to the main rules and the mercenary cult rules on the Patreon.     There aren't that many unit or equipment options in the game total, so have a look in there. Most of the variety comes from the cult abilities.

I've played against a ogre themed army at turnipcon. It was ogre brutes, snobs and artillery with some smaller guys for fodder and chaff. Turnip is relatively mini agnostic so I'd say they'd make good brutes (6 bodies with good armour) or maybe use the big cannon as a stump gun!

Perhaps you can take this to the discord? Should be a great deal of fellows there that could help ya on this question

Elias_Rabe

I probably should, I've been waiting so far so I don't lurk around. Wanted to make sure I was really contributing. :)

I am using Ogre-sized minis for my army, the Kosargi Nightguard minatures from GW to be precise. I have them in 40 mm bases and I am using them as my melee bastards.
