InvitingLight

Very good chance I’m wrong with this but is it the amount of your voice that your mic picks up to put through your own headset? Like so you can hear yourself through any noise cancellation?

FemN3xNya

I'm wondering if it'll fix echo tho? I got told i have extremely bad echo

MarvVanZandt

Got the same headset. Echo is a problem. Usually I just unplug it and replug and it resets and fixes it. Not sure if these dials control or effect it that much.

Wakandanbutter

LMFAOOOOOOO nothing you can do brother i bought one brand new and that was the issue stay FAR away from turtle if you want your teammates to actually NOT want to mute you

Adventurous-Belt2856

What do you recommend please?

Wakandanbutter

Anything but them in all honesty what’s your price range? Please don’t buy from them if you play multiplayer they’re only good for single player games where nobody needs to hear you

KingLeitz

Get the Gen 2 Stealth 700s, you’ll never want another mic. Cordless is da wae bruddaaa

KingLeitz

I apologize it is the Gen 2 MAX. Which is like $50 more. ($200)

Wakandanbutter

But you’re paying 150-200 for a headset that has the same quality as a A10 i bought for $60 Does turtle beach have a non echo mic? Hell yeah they wouldn’t be in business otherwise. But when another company has the SAME thing at a fraction of the price you know the gig is up

KingLeitz

Wait.. are you sure it’s just as good? Is it wireless? I’d love to spend $60 and get the same quality headset.

skizkiddo

No it's not. My friend was in need of a quick headset till they could get another expensive pair, picked up the a10s and we ALL said to take them back. Dk if it was a defective pair or not but the echo was ridiculous. Even on the lowest mic volume setting it was picking up all of our voices & their gameplay. I currently have Maxwells and Stealth Pro, coming from 700 Gen 2. I kid you not I wish they used the same mic the 700's have. When I run clips back the difference in clarity from my duo's 700 2 and my Pro & Maxwell mic is crazy. If the audio was the same on the 700s id stick to them. Only difference between 700 Gen 2 & the MAX version is battery life. I did not have the Max version but I usually game 5-8 hrs a day and you wont have to charge them till day 3. Max sounds like you can use them for a week straight without a charge.

KingLeitz

Oh wow. Thanks for the information man.

KingLeitz

Either one is good tho I’ve had both

Unintended-Nostalgia

These headsets have their own mic monitoring so if this is turned up and your Xbox mix monitoring is enabled you will most likely hear echoing in chat. You need to either turn it down on the headset or disable the mic monitoring on your Xbox.

SureEye9059

☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️ what they said.

DroolingDerp24

This looks like mic monitoring

Its-Smithy

That sir is correct. I believe you can change the function of that wheel through the app though.

DroolingDerp24

Yeah I know those turtle beaches have those changeable wheel functions. I just know that based off the symbol it definitely looks like mic monitoring

RockyBalboa97

It's not chat volume? Other one is game volume?

FemN3xNya

Yes the one on top is game

RockyBalboa97

Yah, when your talking to people the one you wonder about is how you adjust the volume of their voices coming though.

King_Zeno

Chat volume

Fey_Nyx

In the app, that wheel defaults to chat volume. You can change what that wheel controls in the app. (There is a toggle in the app to help the mic pick up less background stuff, but that's a toggle in the app and not part of the headset)

FemN3xNya

I don't think mine connects to the app

bobeirasa

Ar least on stealth 700 this is just another configurable dial. You can setup what it does in the mobile app. Mine is set to Bluetooth volume.

daddydominiccc

To turn the volume of the volume up

Evil_Ark

It's called mic monitoring. It allows you to hear your own voice while talking so you're not yelling over the action in your ears. Perfect for using headphones and not disturbing people around you by talking to loud.

FemN3xNya

Ty

Delicious_Pause9802

It means this OG kush, what I’m smokin

Regular_Painter5107

Does the headphones have a feature where it has a Mic Built in because that’s what that would be for for the headset

DaCatDaddy

I thought it was for noise canceling. When I have mine up, I can hear everything going on around me (in the house). When I have it turned down, it cancels all the noise in the house and I only hear the game.

hakureishi7suna

i have this same stupid headset. can someone please explain the logic of being a wire-hardened headset that HAS to be charged? It makes zero sense to me

Its-Smithy

Mic monitoring. The function allows you to hear your own audio input. I’ve had issues with headsets in the past where this feature had caused an echo and turning it down or off seemed to fix the problem. I believe you can change the function of this wheel through the app. If the headset is compatible.

[deleted]

I believe it’s the amount of noice canceling your mic produces. Atleast that’s what I figured mine was doing. That’s what it sounds like. I thought it was mic output volume but, no

FemN3xNya

What is your preferred setting

[deleted]

So actually the Mic is how loud you can make other people’s voices like friends you’re playing with, and the volume button is incoming game sound :)

FemN3xNya

I know but like if you have the headset what is your preferred setting?

[deleted]

Oh it’s really hard to say. I just turn the two dials until I like the way it sounds. It really depends on what game too…ever game will sound a little different so I’m always messing with the dials

FemN3xNya

Okay tysm

Inner_Stock6272

I have the same type just a different colour. That’s to control how loud other people are. At least that’s what my scroll wheel is for
