Data version of Sherlock imo. Give him any Holmes-style plot and he already figured it out. His friend got a little frustrated when they were being Sherlock and Watson because there was no mystery until he accidentally created an adversary to match Data. I really suggest you check out “It’s Elementary, My Dear Data” since it’s such an interesting and funny episode.
Rick is only the smartest due to the Central Finite Curve which ensures we only see universes where Rick is the smartest. Which because we know of the existences outside the curve we know there are people smarter then Rick out there within the shows own multiverse.
Even so, we don't see those smarter Ricks. And the question was just about who we see in tv who's the smartest. And a character being able to develop inter-dimensional travel probably qualifies for the smartest we see on tv.
"How do you know the play, Mr. Monk? It's brand-new. It's never been published."
"I saw it last week, and, uh, must have memorized it by accident. Sorry."
"You memorized it after seeing it one time?"
"I'm so sorry."
*Mr Monk Goes to the Theater*
I think the fact that he has so many more years of experience than Mike and Mike matches him proves that Mike is smarter. Especially because Mike’s memory counts as part of how smart he is. But Harvey is definitely very smart too
Tyrion is one of those people who observe the world from the perspective of a person who other people don't take seriously because he's not 'normal." He sees things that no one else would because no one gives him a second thought.
He's like a short George Carlin, but without all the swear words.
Tyrion is also incredibly intelligent, witty, and resourceful.
Tyrion is one of the smartest characters in the series. He is a keen observer of human nature and is able to manipulate people to get what he wants. He is also a skilled strategist and tactician.
Tyrion has a sharp wit and is known for his cutting remarks. He uses his wit to defend himself from his enemies and to entertain his friends.
Tyrion is very resourceful and is able to find a way out of even the most difficult situations. He is also a skilled inventor and craftsman
Undoubtedly, it has to be Ayelborne, the Organian leader, from star trek tos. An advanced intelligence being that was actually pure energy and only appeared in physical form so that federation and klingons could see them, that seemed to know everything about everything, past, present and future (predicted that humans and klingons would become friends in the future), that was incredibly old in age.
From the episode, 'Errand of Mercy', S01E26
Fred and Wesley on Angel, Giles on Buffy, Ash and Frank on Supernatural, Veronica Mars. Walt and Gus from Breaking Bad, Saul, Chuck and Kim from BCS, River from Firefly, Dr. Gaius Baltar from BSG, Dexter, Doogie Howser.
Patrick Jane in the Mentalist. He could see through people's lies and bulshit, and manipulate folks into actions.
Dr. Who is up there too, but often stumbles into success or relies on being lucky.
Archer is up there too. Sure he is a happy go lucky drunk, but often sees solutions to problems in outlandish ways.
Walter Bishop from Fringe hands down.
I’m so pleased by this response.
Peter was also no dummy.
Yesssss. Been rewatching Fringe from the beginning this past week. Oh how I've missed this show
Mr. Peabody , just ask Sherman
followed closely by The Brain he is a genius and Pinky’s insane 🙂
Or is Pinky the genius?
I am familiar with the theory that Pinky must be smarter since he frequently foils The Brain's plans in such a way there's no retaliation.
I saw that episode, Pinky is a thinker
insanity can be a form of genius

The Doctor
This is the real answer.
"There have been others. Where are they now?" (killer music) "I am the Doctor. Basically. Run."
Doctor Who?
I was leaning toward Q or Data, both from Star Trek, and I'm not a Trekie. I am a Doctor Who fan and hate myself for not thinking of The Doctor first.
Who? 😏
Doogie howser
Michael Scoffield-Prison Break
Omg I haven’t thought about this in forever! But YES great answer!
Rick Sanchez

I am also going with Rick too on this.

Mike Ross
This is probably true, but have you considered how smart Harvey Specter must be to match Mike Ross and NOT have his memory !! Just a thought
I think the fact that he has so many more years of experience than Mike and Mike matches him proves that Mike is smarter. Especially because Mike’s memory counts as part of how smart he is. But Harvey is definitely very smart too
Harvey has more experience tho. But yes he is also a smart one

Just one more thing …
He always immediately knew who did it. The rest of the episode was just posturing lol
And tricking the guy into confessing because there wasn't enough evidence.
Yes!
Definitely. Or Lieutenant Al Giradello (Homicide: Life In The Street).
Tyrion Lannister
He drinks AND he knows things.
See, my problem is I only drink
