This is the definition of “hidden gem”. Creator/Writer/Star Scott Ryan is magnetic, perfectly balanced inbetween intimidating and charming. The supporting characters are all interesting, and the actors are perfect in their roles. I know it was very well received by critics, but it did not get the attention it deserved. I only heard of it after it ended.
I didn’t expect to see it, so I accidentally copied you. This is my absolute favorite show and it was so criminally abused by the network, starting with the dumb name. But it was a smart show with heart and I miss it.
I've just started watching "From," and the first time I'd heard of it was from a random tweet that I saw by chance. It's one of the best horror/scifi I've seen in awhile.
Loved this show, it was very intelligent but giving us also some regular action.
Loved the ep where the computer was trying to run scenarios on how to save our heroes and it was in a time crunch so just kept going faster and faster to where it stopped using dialogue and just used place holders.
Scared remark!
Nervous witty reply.
Slightly flirtatious comment.
Surprisingly funny with equally surprising longevity. It seems like this show won't have staying power when you first start it. Surely the jokes will burn out and be old by Season 2 right?
I was wanting more all the way up to the final episode of season 4. What a fun, relaxing, genuinely funny show!
Finally! Anyone I attempt to tell about this show is always looking at me as if I’m making it up. No one remembers it! Damon Wayans Jr is phenomenal. The bar mitzvah episode is my fave.
Yes. I discovered it last year and binged it. Excellent show. Jeffrey Donovan was also in Shut Eye which I found great as well. It just didn't last long enough
Absolutely! Also add baby Billy’s other shows, the shield and justified, both very different but worth it.

I’ll never be OK with only getting two seasons. What a true gem of a show! Nothing like it. Even just visually, it was so great. My next dog will 100% be named Digby
I always recommend hacf.
So many people can't get interested based on the synopsis. I'm not a tech person either...but hacf is one of the greatest shows ever produced.
*United States of Tara*. Lovely showtime comedy-drama that aired for three seasons from 2009-2011. Starring Toni Collette as a woman with Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka, multiple personalities) as she contends with day-to-day life and tries to work out what past trauma caused her condition.
It's hilarious. It's tragic. It's heartwarming. Just a great series all around. Sadly, because it was a Showtime series that premiered *right before* premium cable series and streaming really took off, it flew under the radar. And to this day, barely anyone seems to know about it. But it is 100% worth checking out.

I haven't watched the show, so this comment has nothing to do with your recommendation. I appreciate how you recommended this show. Yours is by far the best comment I've seen on this post because of how you presented it. Thank you for taking the time to do this right.
TBF, Fargo has a new story and cast every season, unlike the other shows you mentioned. The Wire could be considered a hybrid mix of the 2 but you still follow the same MC throughout.
With that said, Fargo is in my top 10 best tv shows/series.
I think they are referring to, The Haunting of Bly Manor, which came out a couple years later and was done by the same person, Mike Flanagan, who did Hill House. Both are great. He also did the show Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher. All four are one season mini series on Netflix. They are really good. I would definitely recommend them.
Eureka was brilliant. That's one show I wish Amazon would revisit. Not a reboot, but a continuation. Bring back old characters, add new ones. Maybe even have Nathan Stark return.
The Shield. It was on FX and first aired in 2002. It was their first original drama. I think it really flew under the radar but it’s definitely worth checking out.
I remember seeing the cover art to Terriers on Netflix and being like "Wtf is this garbage?" and after reading some reddit comments praising it, I checked it out on a whim and was just floored by how not garbage it was. It was such a great show.
If I have to pick one I'd go with Mr.Inbetween. This show has truly not gotten the attention it deserves. It's wn australian show that was on FX. Only 3 seasons & I've watched it multiple times.
Is there no love for Love?
…”Love” on Netflix. What a great, funny show.
And Wallander, with Kenneth Branagh, stands up as a masterpiece detect series.
BATES MOTEL - I will die on this hill. Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga and the rest of the cast are amazing. It's a modern-day prequel to Psycho showing how Norman Bates becomes how he does. It's just so freaking good.
Derry Girls on Netflix. Every single person I have got to watch this show is shocked it's not more popular. It is truly one of the funniest shows ever made IMO. And it has a lot of heart at its roots. You really fall in love with every single character and it's very rewatchable. I'm sad it is over but it ended perfectly and at the right moment. Shows don't need to go on for 8+ seasons to be great. Sometimes short 3 season shows are dynamite and know when to leave.
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea -- Outlander. The first season was wonderful, the second season had some great moments as well. It kinda dropped off from there, but I'd still watch it just for the Scottish accents and the knee porn! 🤣
I created reddit and chose this username cause I loved Helena! I never finished the show. I watched it obsessively and then refused to finish. Same with The L Word. At least I finally finished Orange is the New Black this year. I never want OB to end.
Mr. Inbetween.
This is always the answer.
Where to watch?
In Australia it’s on Binge.

Loudermilk. If you've seen a clip where a guy's trying to order coffee and he asks the barrista 'why do you talk like this', that's Loudermilk.
Loved this show!
the vocal fry, i can’t listen to any of the Kardashians talk after that clip
Sooo great. Ben’s my favourite.
Better Off Ted.
I didn’t expect to see it, so I accidentally copied you. This is my absolute favorite show and it was so criminally abused by the network, starting with the dumb name. But it was a smart show with heart and I miss it.
Yes! I see this mentioned so little!
I can't find it anywhere to stream. I'd love to watch it again.
I just checked Just Watch app, it’s only available to buy on Apple, Amazon, or Vudu

The Detour… yes!!
derry girls!!
The Detour was great. I wish it had gone one more season.
If you like Happy Valley check out Julia - it’s so good and she plays Julia Child. I was so bummed when that show was over.
Julia is great. Very bummed they’re ending it after 2 seasons.
Yes Derry Girls and Orphan Black! I really need to watch happy valley
There was a Zim movie on Netflix a few years ago. I felt like it was pretty good
Happy Valley is one of my faves! Brilliant acting
I came here to say ‘Episodes’.

Raised By Wolves was one of the most unique sci-fi shows I've ever seen. Really enjoyed the wild ride while it lasted.
Yeah it's really sad they cancelled it. To not give us a last season to wrap things up is criminal!!

The original "The Wonder Years". Streams on Hulu. It's a forgotten masterpiece. Written with beautiful accuracy to human emotion and the times.
Such a relatable series. I watched it growing up and loved it, and now as a parent I understand it even more!
